Has there been a better one? Fans seem to be getting everything they've asked for; Hayden, Saito and Kone plus Poku, Mbengue and the resigning of Jimmy Dunne. Some of these have come to QPR despite strong interest from other clubs and even higher bids if you believe what’s been said about Saito. What’s not to like?

Not trying to be a wind up, but I’d like Nourry gone. Then I’d be happy. I can’t warm to his lack of info and ChatGPT speak, his contempt for long standing fans. His age is the least of my concerns.

Most of the transfers whilst more than welcome are also needed, so anyone in Nourry’s shoes would have been able to see the same. Or you’d at least hope so.

Get in who you like ,but if the set up, the fitness, the physicality and the patterns of play (m*thodology) are all wrong then we will struggle to win football matches

Agreed. If 6 weeks ago you would have been offered these transfers, we'd snap off your hand.

Signed two strikers, two wingers (assuming Saito joins), addressed the CDM and LB positions, injected some pace (also in defence). Everything we have been crying for.

Even signs we are starting to offload some of the flops.

Obviously not a great start on the pitch, but I have hopes it will come good.

Certainly on paper the transfer window seems very good, clearly lots wrong at the club but JS can’t complain about the resources he has it his disposal. Squad should have enough quality to finish at least lower/mid table.

Come back to me when we've won a few games.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

I think this post is maybe for a different thread as it’s completely unrelated to this one.

You asked "What's not to like"

And the answer is a 27 yr old picking the team, read the other comments we're all on the same page.

It doesn't matter who we sign, they wont play for an unqualified man-child. You may not like it but that is the reality of where we are.

Far too early to tell.

There was a lot of postivity about last Summer's transfer dealings as well.

Can you recall a better transfer window when other CEO’s/DoF’s were running the show?

Season before we went up with Neil. So yes.

Apologies if that answer doesn't suit the narrative.

'Winning the transfer window' isn't a real thing. We'll be able to judge how we've done in this transfer window come January/end of the season

Shit but local

Christ on a bike.

Yes great but what's to love about it if we still go down with players in revolt?

On paper yep great, on grass.....we lost 7-1 to Cov with Madsen sent on to save the day.

It’s completely subjective and based on the success of the signings which is yet to be proven, so this whole transfer window who wins/loses is a bit of a new football media news thing I don’t really get on board with.

Would anyone have said Orient signing Kelman on loan this time last year was winning the window?

I will say it's been the most like British buses. No signings for a while at a time followed by 3 bits of news in about two hours today...

What doesn't make sense to me is why have all these players come here?

If we belive the narrative... the club is run by the wicked witch of the Bush... and his Winged Monkeys....

The coach is Pinocchio and Nouury is therefore his Geppetto (DoF) and wicked witch (CEO)

So what has attracted them to us... must be the film star wages we are paying them... or the lure of promotion...

If ever a club is crazy it has to be our little one

When we signed Clint Hill and Sean Derry? If my memory serves me correct both these signings were met with less than enthusiasm. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
