It's social media wishful thinking by Rs fans. Why would Edwards want to come to QPR? He's only been at Soton for a year, has another 3 years on his contract, is on high wages and has a fair chance of playing in the Prem in the next few seasons.
If he came to us, he would squeeze out Morrison and/or Mbengue from the starting 11. Also, he'd be a block in Akindileni and Smith pathways.

The one thing that does make this make some sense is the [klaxon] game model requires us to be able to play out from the back. Edwards could do this, break the press, move the ball through the lines (and other such football words). None of the current squad are able to do this on evidence so far - maybe Morrison and Mbengue will grow in to this, but we haven't seen it yet. So if there was a player that the club would be willing to splash a lot of money on, it would be a player with these tried and tested attributes.
