Loans 21:32 - Sep 16 with 8765 views | dmm | We have no fewer than 14 players currently out on loan. The majority are from the dev squad but I can't remember a time when there were more than this at any one time.

I'd forgotten about Hevertton. I dont remember seeing the McDowell move. And EDB and Sutton have both joined Morecambe. Bringing the total to 14. Hassan was on loan ( (Hanwell Town) but was recalled. [Post edited 17 Sep 18:44]

Especially eye-catching as it was their first win in six matches. Would be great to see both of them having a successful loan, particularly Sutton. Incidentally George Thomas came on for EDB! BTW it was 4-3.

I know a Morecambe podcaster and he can't be more positive about EDB. Says he reminds him of the best parts of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, which I think is fair. Both tall and rangy box to box midfielders. I always thought he was fine in the Championship, don't think he'll necessarily be back at this level but can easily see him League 1/2 soon. Needs games badly

I remember Cifuentes being very complimentary about EDB when he first joined, saying something about his academy training being obvious in training. He had a few good games, some unremarkable games, then just vanished from the first team very quickly, seemed odd at the time. I think it's been mentioned on here before that if Marti decides he doesn't like you there's basically no way back.

I think EDB had enough chances. He's a very talented player, IMO, but he just didn't quite do enough in games. I'd really like to see him do well, but he'll have to up the urgency to get there.

Loans on 12:37 - Oct 2 with 794 views | dmm | With Dillon to Torquay today, we've currently got 15 players out on loan. 10 of them are from the Dev squad or 18s so it's no wonder the DS suffered a 4-0 drubbing v Swansea's U21s earlier this week. That's an observation not a complaint, but it can't be easy for Furs to manage DS games when so many players are unavailable. I've not known so many youngsters to be continually pushed out on loan as this. I assume it's a combination of club development policy and better quality players that lower league clubs want to take. Hopefully, we'll see the rewards in the not too distant future. EDIT - we've also got the 3 lads away at the U20 World cup. [Post edited 2 Oct 12:39]

Too many youngsters sit in Academy football and then never make it. We need them coming through so this will help. Torquay sitting third, so not Bracknell!
