And that's just his hair. Saito for me today. He was unplayable in the second half.
| "Remember to listen to me but look at her. Don't get it the wrong way round. That would be hideous." |

Ma(e)n of the Match on 17:59 - Sep 20 with 658 views | Ned_Kennedys | Vale for me: no way Chair goes straight back in the team when he’s fit. Saito and Madsen also excellent but to be fair every player did a great job (although Nardi gave us a few iffy moments).

Agreed. And for Chair (and Poku) , that's not a bad thing. No need to rush them at the moment.

Ma(e)n of the Match on 20:24 - Sep 20 with 210 views | LazyFan | Saito was the best player, kept their right back Tchamadeu well err right well back :P Tchamadeu is a quality player, who we would love to have here, but Saito pinned him back for almost all the game. In the 2nd half when they got Saito on the ball more and he mauled their back line, they had no answer to him. Vale was very good not just the goal but also finding passes that others did not. Madsen is better as a number 6, as he does not have to go box to box and get caught out and when he does come forward of course his passing is top class. Better in the tackle today as well. But please note, Stoke were pedestrian in their attack, side to side and so on, this allows Madsen to get into position and take his time. Other teams will not be so generous, still needs to run around more, but a solid performance today. Not our worst player which was Varane. Back four were pretty solid. Kone was class and Burrel was okay. Varane was off the pace a bit but not terrible. Nardi was a bit off as well, but got away with it.
