Do you think it has anything to do with results or current progress, or maybe the atmosphere on this forum of what? Genuine question as we have been in worst plights so just interested to know the thoughts.

For me I must admit whilst I still love the club etc., for a few years it has lowered slightly on the priority list. If I had a choice of doing a gig or watching Saints I would (sadly) opt for a live band but that’s just me.

Maybe with a few wins under the belt it might change things, but to be honest, am not sure it would.

Ditto.

We've failed to make a charge from the off and are coughing & spluttering along. The premier League is just as boring as ever. And I can't be arsed to even watch England play & won't bother.

It has everything to do with being a Saints fan. There has always been ups and downs, but it does feel like this is it -boring score draws in the lower half of the championship. SFC has lost its sparkle. We always pulled off some great scalps, had some great managers and players. Not any more. I can only see us becoming like Reading with empty seats everywhere and just existing. It feels hopeless, knowing that we are stuck with the manager, and if not they will just bring in another dud. It's not exciting anymore with these terrible owners.

I am afraid Nick I feel the same way and I have seen it coming over me.

Last season sort of finished me off from a Saints perspective but I did think this season would reawaken me but sadly, I almost feel indifferent - not completely but almost. I just see little to be excited about - we seem to lack vision and direction as a club off the field and see a lack of drive, passion, commitment on it. We have been in worse situations and position that is for sure, but strangely I always used to see hope of improvement. Maybe it is my age, maybe I have just lost passion for the game, maybe it is the sense that as club which just seem to keep making the same mistakes on and off the pitch.

I know there is along way to go and I never expected promotion this season but I just thought we would be better than we are.

Three wins out of the next four will get us somewhere back on track.

Once we've beaten Swansea ( and we'll beat them comfortably) that'll be 4 games unbeaten. 2 wins , 2 draws.

Still will be hailed as a "Ginger Genius" and all will be well with our little Saintsy world again.

Yep I can relate to this.
45 years this month since my first saints game and now I’m quite ‘happy’ watching the games on TV.
The enjoyment of going to St Mary’s and away games has gone.

Looking forward to a Saturday off of swearing at my TV screen and enjoying a weekend in Amsterdam instead.

I loved going to the Dell, knowing we could pull off a scalp, a surprise, enjoyed being the under dog but generally we always had players fighting for the shirt, who enjoyed upsetting the odds. We knew we could beat Man U or upset the top clubs from time to time.

Even when we were in league one with a 10 point deduction, we had new owners, an exciting fight on our hands that we knew we could overcome, a bright future to look forward to. Saint Marcus RIP.

But now it's just acceptance, a numb feeling, generally a set of fans whose day is great if they have had a hotdog and a few drinks in the fan zone. An embarrassment last season and it continues. It's not the same anymore. Walking to the ground thinking we might scrape a win, taking us to 15th in the table isn't exciting, it doesn't get the blood flowing. Most likely it's a draw or we lose. Oh well.

Enjoy Amsterdam. Great city, so calm. Love it there. Mind out for the cyclists, the coffee shops and a few particular streets 🤭

Thank you. I try to get over there at least once a year.
Went there in June.
Also been to Dublin, Seville and Malaga this year.

But nowhere beats Amsterdam.

Anne Frank and Heineken museum mate. If that’s your thing ,not everyone agrees, you've probably done all those. Went there earlier this year.

Love Dublin too Wiz ,went in a group of 10 of us stayed in a pub for hours just drinking Guinness , watching a band and having a sing song with the locals, absolutely loved it , sometimes the simple things in life are the most enjoyable.

Enjoy Wiz mate.

Have done the Heineken tour, very good.
We did the Guinness tour in Dublin (obvs) which is spectacular.

Will go somewhere in June next year based around England’s World Cup fixtures.
Have booked 10 days in Malaga/Torremolinos for next September already.

Easter trip is on the cards too.
I can watch the Ipswich and Wrexham games on my phone whilst swearing.

It always amazes me that you can smoke weed in some pubs but not normal cigarettes.
They supply a free herbal mix that goes in the joint with da erb.

Me, I’ll stick to the Heineken.

I can remember walking in to the "particular" area but floating out!!

For something slightly more cultural we found these places worth a visit but got tickets prior to going over there

No need to head to Amsterdam.

I often share a joint with mates in a pub garden when we go nowadays..no one gives a monkeys.

There’s plenty to do apart from the obvious.

A short tram ride takes you to Rembrandtplein where there’s rakes of pubs away from the tourist trap of The Red Light District.

A little further is Museumplein where The Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are.
Also here, that I missed in June, is The Moco Museum which I want to visit. Time permitting.
The Banksy & Warhol exhibitions here take my fancy.

If planning visits to the popular museums, I recommend you check if you need to book in advance or online. I think the Ann Frank House also requires advance booking ?

It might be ok this time of year, but worth a check.

Anne Frank definitely.
I’ve never been but those who have say it’s that’s busy you are herded around somewhat, so I’ll give it a swerve.

I used this website and app during our Seville and Dublin trips.

Been to the Anne Frank house a few times, when i first went about 30 years ago it was easy to get in and walk around, now its more hectic and you have to book, but last time i went its a place you could walk around at your leisure and reflect on what happened there and the wider picture of Nazi occupation, its a sombre walk around, I would hate to think they herded people around given it's past and how the occupants left that house
