Many people no longer getting them as riles have changed since last year
This can’t be right

I haven't had one for the past 3/4 years and I'm still here , I stopped taking statins 6 weeks ago and my joint pain is a fraction of what it used to be .My doctor though is desperate for me to get back on them ,I cant think why.

I’ve never had one, and that’s my personal choice. When the body fights off an infection, it’s nature doing what it was designed to do. no need to interfere.

Regardless of where people stand on vaccines, the principle of choice should always remain. No one should be pressured or coerced into a medical decision.

Restricting people from work, travel, or social life based on their vaccination status raises serious ethical questions about freedom and bodily autonomy — issues that deserve open and honest debate.

It's a shame that so many people were demonised and belittled at the time for making their choice, a choice that has been proven to be the correct one ever since.

Obviously your choice but I believe you already know why your dr wants you back on them.

My advice ...stay well clear and I am no dr

Had bad reactions to the boosters so stopped after I think the 3rd one, one was later revealed to be from a bad batch - got the serial number on a vaccination card somewhere.

Doc put me on Statins in early summer but they upset my guts terrible, came off them a few weeks back and felt better after only 48 hours.

I do think we are often overmedicated in the UK, not necessarily due to big pharma's tentacles in the NHS but because it's easier for the GP to just write a prescription and think bingo - job done...NEXT!

The threshold for vaccination has shifted to 75 years old for people without other health risk factors.

Had the first lot. Not bothered for the last year or two as it's quite clear that COVID no longer poses a risk greater than the normal flu viruses doing the rounds at this time of year.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

That's how it is being treated in schools.

If kids are well enough to come, then they come. Treated the same way as and cold type illness.

I’ve had them all
I’m still here
Lost several friends who didn’t have them as it wasn’t available
They are dead

True but vaccines prepares your body to recognise the illness at an early stager so your immune system can fight it off quicker leading to you being less ill for a shorter time or in some cases not ill at all.

Also with recent studies showing pretty conclusively that there is a strong link between heavy viral infections and cancer development I would rather take the risk with the vaccine.

For me there is just one question is the world better with or without vaccines. Then its up to the individual to decide what is best for them and those they make the decision for. No pressure should be put on anyone either way, some have had terrible side effects with vaccines and some have died because they didn't have them. Individual call in individual situations.

I may add, sometimes the immune system reacts too strongly and can cause the body to react in a way that causes inflammation that releases toxins. This can lead to sepsis, as i recently found out.

I'm not sure if vaccines can counteract or hinder this effect. Does any medical personnel on here know the answer.

It's still about one of the regular Nurse assistants that call here on a Tuesday and Thursday has come down with it and care company had to supply another assistant tonight.

Bloody thing has been in this house 6 times Wife, eldest and myself have had the thing twice each, it's not a normal cold at all, no regular cold/flu puts me in bed and Covid has done it twice 3 days first time 24hrs or so the second time.

I don't want the damn thing again, at least we've managed to keep it from my youngest so that's a positive.

They keep sending me appointments for covid but I refuse now. I think I had covid last week actually and it wasn't even as bad as the flu.

Now the statins, I had a few bad blood tests, the doctor suspected it was my liver and ordered another round of liver related tests, I didn't wait for bad news though, I went straight on a diet and stopped taking the statins because it say on the leaflet they can affect the liver. Before the tests I'd lost nearly a stone and had nearly 4 weeks without statins and my tests came back good. I still haven't told my gp I stopped taking them mind because I'm certain they'll be unhappy. I wasn't even put on them because my cholesterol was high, it was a "precaution" because of a family history.

I've not had another jab for at least 3 yrs, not gonna have one either, my eldests is convinced that it brought on his ankylosing spondylitis cause he started having joint issues shortly after the first or second job, he's got the jab himself every fortnight know because of the disease.

It’s called a cytokine storm and can cripple even the fittest of people. Was especially prevalent with serious cases of Covid. It’s an autoimmune condition so I’m not sure if the vaccine would help prevent it, although I would hazard a guess that if your symptoms are lesser because your body is more prepared to fight off the infection then your chances of your immune system going overboard would be lessened.

COVID 19 was not a natural virus. It seems it was man made in a laboratory in Wuhan.

We live in a democratic community which makes decisions based on the over all benefits of the community.

People follow the laws they make and those that do not act on the laws can end up taken out of society.

I accepted the logic of herd immunity. The risks were explained and I trusted the medical people. I am alive and so are both my parent 90 and 93. It is risk.

What I object to is the "refusniks" attitude. Like Novak Djokovic. He should understand the concepts and take a two year holiday being pragmatic. People let go by the NHS should not moan but accept their responsibility as a worker in health care. Be pragmatic. They were told where the train was going and did not have to get on it.

The refuseniks are smug bunch and do not understand herd immunity. If only 30% refused diseases a cannot be ended " naturally". Individual choice id s fine but they are not smart enough to shut up and not encourage others to follow them. "Look at me I got no vaccines and am fine" . It's statistics mate. The survivors can always say this Other who said this are dead and cannot do a risk assessment.

Quite a few have had their vaccinations and are ill after it , I'm not having by choice and i unless threads pop up as randomly as this one has no one would have known about my choice., the same as you informing us of your stance.
Has anyone noticed the influx of CPR equipment which have now appeared everywhere ,not that I'm criticising as I think its a wonderful thing but just wondering why this has happened ,could it be co incidental that many youngsters were having heart attacks after having the jab and this is the reaction by government ?

Heart problems has always been the main cause of death in men both young and old. Apart from unaliving yourself obviously.

I think those CPR kits have become more prevalent these days due to the amount of people who are collapsing through cardiac arrest, as you know action to help these people needs to urgently delivered.

It could be a coincidence of course, but the increase could be somewhere attached to covid jabs or people who have suffered from Covid, probably very difficult to prove either way.

This I know by personal experience but I'm just asking the question why have we seen a welcome influx of CPR equipment located virtually everywhere and I mean everywhere ,there's even one installed on a country lane between Kidwelly and llansaint with many other examples dotted around the countryside.

I certainly welcome them being installed , having attended countless first aid courses and having to carry out CPR unsuccessfully twice during my working life then I'm more than happy to see them ,just wish they had been available to me at the time of my two incidents .
Anyone who thinks that patients can survive a heart attack and can be revived by chest compressions only is sadly mistaken.
