FA Trophy semi 17:18 - Mar 12 with 52042 viewsDaleiLama

According to this

and this

https://spennymoortownfc.co.uk/2025/03/11/ticket-information-rochdale-a/

and the tickets I bought, k.o. is 3pm, but according to this

https://www.thefa.com/competitions/fa-trophy/fixtures

it's 12:30.

I presume (as usual) the FA don't know what's going on but since it is their competition, they ought to?

Can anyone clarify please, as I've got a couple of tickets for people travelling by train to Rochdale?

Sounds a tad windy out there at the moment. Hope the weather isn't going to have a say on our big day again. 6750 for the crowd.

Looking pretty much the same as the last few days. Maybe just a touch cooler but there's been loads of people sat outside pubs in the town centre

Strong breeze might affect the game itself, making long balls more of a lottery, plus a hard surface

Same for hoth teams, and hope there's no negatives coming from the dressing room

Wind forecast the gradually drop through the day. Shouldn’t be a factor. Get sprinklers on it after the last cut and the pitch should play fine.

Come on the Dale!!! Let's have a no nerves, up and at 'em performance. Don't want penalties. UTD!!!!!

Anyway, as a complete aside: you mentioned the sprinklers. It has always puzzled me as to how these things work: with regard to how they can sit flush with the surface of the pitch after being used. Also, what is their topping? Is it a real sod or some fake turf? It just amazes me that these never appear to be a trip hazard.
Thanks to anyone who takes the trouble to respond :-)

11am - 4 hours to kick off.

I bet Rochdale Cricket Club is bouncing at Midday!!

Shame we cant create a fan zone under a temporary structure at Spotland.

Looking forward to the game..

They retract well below the pitch and the top is rubber, so reducing risk of injuries and it’s finished with a disk of artificial grass. There’s a nice little vid on tik too explaining. Quite ingenious I think.

We’ve had a ‘fan zone’ for ages now within the excellent facilities we have. Today there’s extra catering in the form of a food van on the car park. Anything more than that would require closing off big areas of the car park and all the associated health and safety implications for vehicles arriving.

I think the fan facilities in the Ratcliffe and Dale Bar are maybe some of the best in the lower leagues. Loads of television screens and decent beer and plenty of room for fans. The fact it also welcomes away supporters is a added bonus. Very good security staff on the doors alongside friendly bar staff and the pre match experience is now probably better than it's ever been.

What a total anti climax. No fire in the play whatsoever. We should be one down through our own negativity.

Team order's or, team nerve's due to the occasion? Hopefully it is the latter and the half time talk does the trick.

True to form when there's a decent crowd

How in God's name did we actually fook that opportunity up, we'll NEVER have a better chance to get to Wembley in the history of the sport.

Tactical masterclass by the manager again. How many times are we going to be in the lead and not see the game out.

No excuse for what we've seen today.

Fair play to Spennymoor. They came to do one thing. Did it and have their day at Wembley.
