Do we not play our development / promising u-18 players in the remaining matches besides Bennie, Kolli and Morgan, some of whom were actually named on the bench recently?

- Tuck (29)
- Murphy (34)
- Petrie (35)
How about some numbered squad players that disappeared from the first team, what happened to their development?
- Talla (30)
- Salamon (32)
- Aoraha (33)
This is one period where we could use these players and see how they perform.
What about Joe Walsh? - he never get a decent chance this season, again.

I advocated dropping the loan players and playing our own when we were safe…. and then QPR went on another long winless run so weren’t safe for ages.
With loads of injuries still I don’t think we can change much but it would make sense to give Kolli more minutes and Sutton should at least get off the bench and make his debut. |  | | |

This is QPR, we always have a collapse after a winning run. So, that thinking is proven false.
We need to test the younglings.
Otherwise, they will turn into Niko hangers-on who never leave, and we will stupidly give them 4-year contracts. We did it this season with EDB, and he's at least a decent player.
One more win and we should get the kids out.
Morgan should be played more if Colback is not being renewed. Varane needs game time as well. Field can have a well-deserved rest, so he does not get injured again.
Kohli can get a run out and we can test if his body can cope. We can attach an electric dog collar to Madsen, and if he stops running full pelt for more than 3 seconds when the ball is in play, Norrys' AI software zaps him. Moving to butt plug zapping for 2 seconds in version 2 (even when the ball is out of play).
Tuck should be recalled from his loan. Same with Larkeche, seeing as Paal is off to Watford. Play Sutton so Smyth can have rest too and the Boy from Brasil.
What's the point of having these players if we never test them out when we are safe.
After all, we all know it will be 16th anyway, so it matters not and we should find out.
But being QPR will bring Field, Chair and Frey back to watch them all get injured again and not be ready for next season's start. Just like this season.

Think there has to be a balance. Won’t do these guys much good getting hammered by Burnley and we’d struggle to put a team out with the players expected to be here next year.
Would like to see some of Sutton off the bench. Aoroha is 22 and seems to have been considered a real prospect forever. The Brazilian boy at left-back for sure given the scarcity of options.
Also if we did put out a team of children and get battered it’s a bit of a spit in the face to the addicts heading to Preston and Sunderland. | | | |

Say the same thing every season: Once you're safe, and while obligated to pick your best XI, I'd still look to blood some pups.
Pressure in theory, is off, so let them play. See what rises to the challenge and surely they'd derive benefit from the experience. I'd certainly be leading with Bennie, Walsh, and Morgan, and if Lloyd and Kolli can ever get fit, them too.

I think you need a balance I wouldn't throw all the kids in and leave them to get a hiding but you could use some of them from the bench, maybe start a few up at Sunderland if they are good enough but you want to end the season with a few more wins, we've not won at home since february so would be nice to get at least one more home win |  | | |

Well I wasn't in favour of this idea really until I read this post, now I think we should pick the U15s for that game.
Massive Leeds? Sheff Utd? Integrity of the EFL, that gave us midweek trips to Boro and Hull and Keith Stroud to referee? Unhappy?

A first-team appearance for a young player may also be better if he's part of a strong and settled team with experienced players to guide him through it. |  |

I have noticed we sometimes see on loan Dev Squad and U18 players turn out for Dev Squad games but thought this was because they're midweek matches and so wouldn't affect the club at which they're on loan.

Exactly. It's like when they chuck all the yoiung guys on together for England friendlies after 80 minutes of Kane, Foden, Saka and Bellingham. Much better to give each of them time in a largely settled team: a couple doing the first half and a different two for the second half. |  | | |
