Would a tentative enquiry be enough to make the WRU stop and think?
Yes but that would mean a Welsh club playing in England You're right Ospreys v Leicester, Saracens, Bath, Gloucester, Exeter, Northampton would all draw huge crowds

On that basis they’d cut off their nose to spite their face and say Ospreys players aren’t eligible for Wales selection or something equally punitive.
I’d run with it myself, would be much more lucrative that the current set up. Whether the English league would support that I know not.
Wales were so bad last season one has to worry if they will even manage to win just one game, let's hope for an improvement, they can't get any worse or can they ?

As it stands, I’ll be surprised if they do to be honest. Then the question will be raised again about two leagues with promotion and relegation. If it’s two wooden spoons in a row it will be even harder for Wales to argue against.

It may take something like the threat of relegation to get the WRU to pull their finger out.

Been off today and I watched highlights of the 2nd test of the last Lions tour of New Zealand in 2017, hope I'm able to go to watch the next tour of New Zealand in 2029.

Def on my bucket list, if I get ill before then start a go fund me, I’m worth it.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
No one is going to question the work you’ve put in mate, it’s just you are not British or Irish. This is not an exhibition tour. This is an international and my thoughts are that he’ll get more beating Australia than representing The Lions.
This eligibility should be stopped after this tour, not just increasing the eligibility qualification period. I have little excitement in this tour just because if too many foreigners in the side.
Great performance by Argentina throughly deserved their win, Argentina were missing lots of their best players because of club commitments, Lions had a big penalty count in their favour and got lucky to be awarded a penalty try and the resulting yellow card for the Argies, but Lions still could not win.
Lions should have been able to win every match the fixtures looking to being very easy but they have now already lost one, lucky they are not playing South Africa or New Zealand.

Australia are so bad that the Lions should have played Australia as a warm up match and toured Argentina.
Australia have lost 11 of their last 12 rugby championship matches and are worse than Argentina, Australia even failed to get out of their group in the last World Cup with Fiji and Wales in their group.
Lions historically are nearly always a poor team, even if they win all the matches out in Australia which they should it will be a poor Lions team v poor Australian teams, Lions must hope to win those games and that when New Zealand and South African tours come around that those teams for once happen to be on a downward turn.
I'm getting bored of wanting the Lions to lose (don't get this playing with English, Irish, Scots players) as they always do lose its predictably boring how poor they are most of the time over the years.

Below par performance by the Lions. Argentina were ruthless taking just about every chance they had to score. Some very average players in that Lions squad. It turns out that Wales hookers are not the only ones who can’t hit their man in a line out. Lions will improve.
If the Aussies are as as poor as you say what odds on a clean sweep for the Lions in the test series ?
