Since the game went pro this is the first tour I can recall in my minds eye (without checking) where I've expected the Lions to actually win because the opposition is so poor, that's 30 years of expecting them to lose and I guess the experts/odds makers thought the same, although they did fluke a couple Australia and South Africa but even then they were second best on the balance of play. | |

Morgan was ok, certainly no worse that the other back rowers. Not great thoiugh, Ben Earl really cheered knockons which is why i remember he played. Tom Curry was als ok. Pollock had a curates egg performance. |  | | |

Tough first half, they put us under good pressure. Very good opposition.
I felt we were fairly weak in the tackle as they made good yardage but I think that’s a credit to WF for running strongly at us and maybe the Lions not putting 100% into the tackle this early in the series. |  |
