Interesting that he mentioned the stadium and Nourry.
Sounded a bit like a PR statement to me but am I just being a bit cynical?
I do agree that if the owners develop LR, having already completed the training ground then they have righted every wrong and should be held in high regard.

How do Orient play him? (I have no idear)
They typically play 4-2-3-1, though they can go 4-3-3 and sometimes when really out of form they've gone 3-4-3.
So they play exactly the same set-up in attack as the QPR "game model" (though like Cifuentes, Wellens is a pragmatist).
I'd say the big difference is they are much quicker in wide areas, but that's our problem not Kelman's. If we get a much more direct left winger, move Chair inside, Kelman would probably get as many opportunities at QPR as he does at Os.

Indeed, although he still managed to wind back 24 years to have a sly dig at Gerry Francis, good old Dave :-)
Not sure it was a dig. Dave is a news man and deals with facts. He was just calling it out. I didn't know that GF supported moving QPR out of the borough so was good to know/understand.

Oh yeah - wholeheartedly agree about Dave, I love his stuff. I was just getting a tinge of nostalgia.

No point giving Kelman a chance unless we play him like Orient do.
you mean the same way that we bought celar in to play and havent once played that way in how many years . balls down the channels and decent crosses into the box , if saito comes back thats the left hand side sorted for crosses not sure on the right hand side though

Well, GF was from Chiswick. Which is part of LB Hounslow, is it not?

Very much worth listening to Dave's perspective on the Nourry H&F Council move...
Well, that sounds like the council could potentially be starting to come around to the idea of the ground being sold off for development if it is a way of driving growth in H&F. It does hint that maybe a move within the Borough could be a possibility again.

Found the history of the relationship with H&F interesting. They published the local plan in 2018 including Loftus Road in the White City West development area with the following explanation.
5.37 The Queens Park Rangers (QPR) football ground at Loftus Road is a cramped site with limited opportunity for expansion, and the Club’s ambitions should be considered in planning of this area over the next 20 years. The football stadium is a valued community asset for the White City community and the pitch is designated as openspace. Therefore any redevelopment of this site would need to re-provide a sport/community/leisure facility that could achieve substantial benefits for the community as well as open space, on-site or within the borough, in accordance with the other policies within the Local Plan.
So it does feel like on paper at least their stance for the last 7 years has been to keep QPR in the borough and that we can only develop Loftus Road for housing if a new ground is located in H&F. But there hasn't appeared to be any further consideration or suggestions for how we proceed from this point. Hopefully CN can help circle the club into conversations and get something moving.

I don't think Dave Mc is one for club PR statements, probably the opposite if anything. To hear him making positive noises about the council move is very encouraging for me.

If Dave says a transfer is happening, it usually does, unlike all the many charlatan sites that are available.
Like most, love being at Loftus Road, fabulous for atmosphere at times, but we do seriously need it upgraded or a move nearby, so very interesting hearing his take on Nourry being on H & F Board.
His belief then that if Kelman was going to be sold if Marti was here, maybe we could have had an offer from somewhere that was too good to turn down. But possibly now could stay depending on new manager. And Gallens words on the style of play by Charlie and his age for me, totally agreed with his words and an ex striker, trust his judgement on this.
Not to start a new ground thread but if we are to stay in the borough H&F there are only 2 options (type in H&F to google maps).
A) LR we (QPR) own it, B) Linford Christie Stadium (or what ever name it goes by) and H&F own it,
So can both parties stop fannying about and decide whether to bring LR up to date or demolish LR and give it to the council in a swap for LCS and build a new stadium with sporting facilities that we and the residents of the borough can use.

or that they sell the ground for development and move miles away, I don't think thats the intention but it will be an option

It would be a poor option as they won't get much for the stadium due to the wording of the local plan requiring equivalent open space within the borough. So it would be a massive risk for the developers as it could be over half the site as open space, so that would be reflected in the price of the site.
