I get where you're coming from.
Myself, I am delighted with our signings so far.
However, as a club, we always seem to be devoid of strikers. Never any depth there. I mean at the minute we have one, Vip, who doesn't look like ever scoring more than 5 a season (just another Pintado). Cullen is not a striker and Wales is one for the future I expect. So, for me, we have none never mind depth.
Off the top of my head the last time I really remember a dirge of strikers was 87/88 with Love, McCarthy, Pascoe,Raynor and Allon.

Didn't Joe Allon beat a consecutive scoring record for us?

I went to a rugby world cup qualifier game Wales v Western Samoa in Cardiff back in the 80s . I was sitting in the stand a good 25 metres from the action . You could hear the tackles from the Samoans in the stand . It was the hardest display of tackling Ive ever seen and that includes watching the All blacks Australia S.A and all the home nations
It wasnt dirty or late but devastatingly hard . I winced as I watched. 2 Welsh players went off injured after being hit hard but fair . Wales lost . I think Pat Lam was the westetn Samoan no.8. It gave rise to the joke Thank God we were only playing Westetn Samoa not the whole of Samoa!

Buying younger players (inoussa, Galbraith, Wales, Franco, Wedell and hopefully a 9) who not only are upgrades but who may well make a significant profit for us in the future.
We seem to have gotten it right at last.

Yep, was telling that to keef this afternoon re galbraith, him going off against boro basically lost us the game and he was sensational v Sheffield United.

His manager at orient said he was going to be a PL one day, hopefully it will be with us but if not we will make money from him if we dont get there.

Not looking like the striker we all want will be here in time to play saturday ( although may still happen hopefully) if the player we have been reportingly been speaking to for what seems like months now there is only a couple of things that could be holding things up, 1 is our clubs value does not match the current club he plays for value, 2the terms we are offering do not match his demands, or he just does not want to come, we are in the recrutment teams hands but it is clear to 1 and all that this area of the first team squad is now the huge priority if we are to hope to finish in the top 8 or 6 in this div and unfortunatly the clock is ticking

8 of the 25 have to be homegrown which could mix things up as we have bought several from abroad.

Homegrown, meaning they have been registered with an English or Welsh club for at least three years before their 21st birthday.

Under 21s can be included in the squad anyway.

Any loan players irrespective of age myst be included in the squad.

Hopefully I have got this right, if not can someone please correct me.

Sheehan confirmed Cooper will be allowed to leave today. He's previously confirmed Ginnelly is free to leave. Congreve on the verge of a loan move. Cotterill will also go out on loan.
