Just announced on the Whatsapp. Personally I don't care if this was done ages ago and Nourry is gaming it for maximum PR value - I'm just delighted he's staying

Jimmy Dunne new contract on 23:42 - Jun 18 with 1523 views
On his day, James is good enough to play anywhere Lots of people don’t see or give him credit for his skill level, awareness and reading of the game plus he’s no slouch either.
I think he’s better on the right than at CB Really good out ball when needing to bypass a press, he can deliver a cross and he himself has got on the end of a fair few deep crosses arriving into the box from deep.
I find Dunney a joy to watch all the way from his little tricks now and then, 30 yard last minute raspers, late winning headers and right through to standing over blokes he’s physically dominated giving it the full “are you not entertained?!”
Looking out to see if we have a young understudy for him at RB - hope so
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Jimmy Dunne new contract on 00:57 - Jun 19 with 1404 views
The big downside of this (great) news, is that with the new policy of evenly spreading out the positive news, it will be 2 weeks before we hear who the new manager is. Until then, dev squad signings only and some news about people leaving.

Also, lets not forget... Whilst sadly I agree there is no way back for Marti, had it not been for him many here and within the fanbase would have been happy to see Jimmy foxtrot oscar a few years ago.
I think Marti really brought him on well and they certainly had a great relationship - Hence why he was captain on several occasions I suspect
As Clive said, players like him with the attitude and commitment he has, are very difficult to replace on a small budget.
Hopefully he was persuaded with news of a new manager and maybe new signings in the pipeline.
As for his best position, although a little too slow , he has been very good at right back and it also gives him more freedom to attack and score goals like his screamer against Birmingham and last season at Portsmouth.
