Fantastic news abd great loyalty from Jimmy as I'm sure signing on fees and bigger wages were on offer elsewhere. Nothing negative to say ( despite some peoples efforts). As I posted back in January, I was told back then that a new contract had been essentially agreed before Sheff came in and understandably turned his head. It was always either renew here or go there and Wilder being booted makes renewing here a much smarter choice.

As I posted back in January, I was told back then that a new contract had been essentially agreed before Sheff came in and understandably turned his head. It was always either renew here or go there and Wilder being booted makes renewing here a much smarter choice.
I know someone at Sheff U, they told me last summer before any of this was a thing in the media that Sheff U were talking to Jimmy's representatives then and he was keen. So I think he has known this at least a year. Pleased he's staying, pleased Sheff U have changed strategy in their recruitment.
Wow! I was 100% sure he was gone. Not sure what we offered, or who made the deal happen, but I think its good for the club. If this was down to Nourry, well done. One of the better performing players in the whole of the Championship, this feels like a brand new signing!

Excellent news! I didn't see that one getting Dunne! Nourry does seem to have a decent knack of getting contracts done to be fair to him. It does make you wonder how much the likes of Field, Chair, Dunne, JCS etc are getting for these extensions, but that's a worry for another day. Great to have him on board for next season.

With a new manager coming along sometime the more experience we have already in place should will be cruical to us settling down quickly. With Jimmy, SC and JCS (hope that man can stay fit) we are starting to look a bit better alraady now we just need goals and lots of them to make our run. Yeh that’s great news. As I’ve said for months players like that, but more importantly personalities and experience like that, v difficult to replace on our budget so a big one in the plus column this summer.

Brilliant news. I must say, I was resigned to him going to Sheff Utd. Whether Wilder’s departure played a part in this, who cares now.
Someone of his height and physicality, parking all his personality strengths for a moment, is massive for a squad like ours.
