Fans Forum on 13:59 - Jul 8 with 2794 views | daveB | good they are doing one and you'd hope it's a sign of learning that the manager and ben Williams will be at this one, will be interesting to see what sort of format they do it in this time but they are certain to get some awkward questions about Ben Williams and Marti.
Fans Forum on 14:10 - Jul 8 with 2751 views | Pikey | Can't make it but can someone ask for me Water pressure in Elletslie Road stand Can we dig down to extend stadium Can we have bigger flags for the singers in standing section. When are we getting rid of the old b..tards ( like me) who come to watch the football and support the team without singing daft songs. When will the owners invest some real money ( we dont believe they put in £2m a month to keep us afloat.) Think that covers half the meeting and should give them an easy ride.😁😁 | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Fans Forum on 14:21 - Jul 8 with 2687 views | 7374Ranger | I will be away, but would like to know when is the big screen going to resume showing the match, so that when the ball is in play down the SA Rd touchline we can see what is happening without having to stand up and block the view for others. It is otherwise pointless having it perched on the roof looking redundant other than to display the club badge or some pre match entertainment. Have emailed the club and still awaiting a reply.

Fans Forum on 14:44 - Jul 8 with 2564 views | daveB | One thing that interests me is that all the talk of Julien Stephan was of changing formations etc but hearing his pre match interview last week it weas very much the club want him to play 4-3-3 which is fine and what we did uner Marti as well but I wonder if that is going to cause issues further down the line

they have to have two per season it seems , didnt bother last season , even with the badly organised one late in the season which just didnt happen no reason given and yes hate to say it seems like lets do it early , announce a few players who signed contracts in may , free bottle of warm beer, yeah thats the fans happy for another year.was planning ongoing to the dev game that nigh at wealdstone but this might be more fun

That is a very cynical interpretation of the current data-driven landscape which demeans our collective quantum intelligence.
Fans Forum on 16:52 - Jul 8 with 2205 views | numptydumpty | 28th July which has already been agreed in advance is the actual day that Eze gets sold. Now would that not be a coincidence !!!! It is really only correct that they have three or four of these each year and open to all and with all the relevant people there to answer all questions, no holds barred. They will know the questions in advance which is fine, and gives them time to come up with their responses but its the way it should be. Strange setup last season, but yes let's have set sessions, not one that are crow barred in at times that are selectively chosen to make things easy for those in control. Best to chat to the people that prop up the club no matter what !!!! [Post edited 8 Jul 16:57]

The manager decides on formations, etc......not the CEO or the Board!!! Do not take any notice of anyone who thinks differently - it cannot work otherwise.

Issue is there is a statement from nourry saying that the club had identified a style of play which they wanted to implement as it had been successful for clubs previously getting promoted back to the prem , so no not really in the gold old days a manager would say I’m doing g it this way , under nourry I’d doubt that will be allowed as his pc tells him otherwise

That's what I suspect too. People who make great emphasis on being honest and open and loving their customers etc. are usually over-compensating for my experience.

I get the idea in theory. Barcelona in the 2010s being a great example. You have a set of principles that everyone aligns to, emphasis on retaining possession, movement etc. Everyone at the club from the age of 8 starts playing that way so that when they break into the first team it's seamless. That's a very attractive model. It does get somewhat broken by the idea that QPR haven't exactly been a conveyor belt of talent from the youth academy and what 98% (?) of our appearances over the last decade have been from people we've signed from other teams, so it's a bit moot. I guess the same idea is that we (should) only hire managers who have similar philosophies to each other in terms of the way they want their teams to play, so you don't have a new guy coming in thinking "fck this lot I need a bunch of players with different skill sets" Which of course in true QPR fashion, we've yoyo'd back and forth on over the years and has been a major source of our problems, including financial So I kind of get it, but I'm just not convinced that it works here. And to your point it should be the principles, rather than the specific formation.
