Swansea city have been the best team in Wales for around 20 years at least. Wrexham are now challenging for that honour. It is the biggest game of the season for me. Remember this could be a massive game in USA media space as well..US people and Wrexham people build it up $$$$ and south Wales fans trying to play it down. Why? It is a question of energy and dynamism and ability to generate cash. Americans know this business. Swansea city are in the entertainment business. The battle for Wales s no 1. Watch on Prime time USA with special guests. Snoop Dog, Mindi Karlin and Rob Brydon. Swans fans had 21% of this great club but did not have the energy or ability to make a go of it by converting. They were gifted ยฃ20m but had no plans other than to shrink. Just like Welsh rugby. [Post edited 5 Aug 19:37]

It might be for you. For me, there is no biggest game at the moment. That will be decided towards the end of the season and will depend where we are in the table and who we are competing with. Your last paragraph unfortunately sums up the difference between match day fans and online fans. I completely accept you represent the target market.

Why would Mindi Karlin want to be a guest?? She couldn't be bothered when she had a very minor shareholding in the past. Regarding Rob Brydon - you'd be better off inviting his brother.๐

It is a shame that our American owners in 2016 never had the same ambition as Reynolds and co. Also note that Coleman and Gude were keen to partner/work with Wrexham - this was said sometime in 2024. And as for your comments about the Trust. It is a real shame you didn't stand for election, take a seat on the board and push for change.

It was The Trust Online Q&A with Ken Gude 21st November 2023. Trust Members Q&A Q: โDoes marketing come under your remit? The Wrexham ownership with the Hollywood stars โ are there any lessons for the swans around sponsorship? What lessons are you taking to expand the brand into the US? โ A: โThere is a lot that Wrexham has done because of the documentary series โ they have capitalised on it in a meaningful way on the commercial side. Whilst we canโt draw on the A-list celebrity that they can, we are pursuing options to promote our club. We are hopeful that we are going to create something that will elevate the exposure on our womenโs side, and how that can help the menโs team tooโ. โWe are looking to partner with Wrexham when appropriate to take advantage of that as well. We have been in communications with the team in Wrexham and the US on ways to partner and to capture a bit of the exposure.โ

Totally understand that Keith. I started following the Swans in the mid 70โs as a 10 year old with my Dad under Harry Griffiths and in 1979 he took me to Wrexham away with the Swans to stay with a work colleague of his who was a Season Ticket holder at Wrexham. After the game we were invited into the Players Lounge and were made so welcome I particularly remember Terry Darracott and Dixie McNeill being so welcoming and friendly I can only compare itto the Harry Griffiths Bar at the Vetch I have so many great memories of that place too !! Such incredible, personal memories of that era for me culminating in that meteoric rise to Division One under Tosh, I never thought I would witness anything like that ever again in my lifetime but in 2011 we pulled it off yet again and my two sons saw history repeat itself yet again quite incredible !! Over my 50 year โrollercoasterโ journey in following the Swans I have to say that the simplistic and humble days of the 1970โs will stay forever special in my heart !!

I've said several times the Wrexham showboat will sink one day. The stateside fans will find something more interesting to watch, maybe Birminghams Brady bunch? When the commercial well starts to run dry then the spending will have to be cut and the johnny come lately, plastic fans will walk away too.

They are a docu-series as much as they are a football club. Interest in them will be massive this season, but as soon as they start losing as many as they win, people will just find something else to watch I think the championship is their ceiling to be honest.

They may do because I donโt think Southampton are going to be that good. Given last seasonโs disaster theyโre going to need to get some confidence back and that may take time. Iโm not saying theyโll do a Luton but may struggle, especially to start. That said, hope they whack Disney FC around the park๐
