Loved Pav - I once bumped into him and his missus in David Lloyd gym in Acton and he was genuinely touched that I recognised him. His English wasn’t the best but we had a pint together and he was a top bloke
Watched the Hibs game v Partizan Belgrade last week, what a goal this was

I’m sure he was rumoured to be joining us one summer Really wanted that to happen. I would have bought my first Rs replica shirt for many decades just so I could put B O W I E on the back and paint a love-bolt on my face every game.

Would have been a hero but perhaps for just one day.
Like others I liked him, although my only criticism of him was always that he never seemed willing to take a fullback on, for a winger.
Much better player than Paul Smyth though. And I do like Smyth.
I liked him a lot. Positionally he was excellent and held the width. His crossing was better than any of our current squad because he got his head up. He also chipped in with a few goals. It was odd how some matches he seemed very keen to go at his full back and others he didn’t at all. Perhaps instructions? Very reliable player though. It’s clear that we undervalued him at the time given how much European and International football he has played since.

Pav had a real engine - endlessly bombing up and down that touchline. I used to enjoy watching him put a proper shift in.

That Fulham goal away always sticks in the memory
Thank you for that wonderful story
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
