Who would have thought, 12 months ago, that we'd ve missing Cook, Field and Chair, but still win?

...and Colback.

I feel a bit sorry for Colback. I thought he did well for us but at least Hayden, who is 5 years younger picks up that wage burden. Liked Colback. Solid hard working player.

Never knowingly right.

I'm delighted he's gone. Really over-rated in my view. One of our most expensive players, only one goal and one assist all season, fewer tackles than Koki Saito and a walking yellow card. Only played the equivalent of 16 matches all season. So glad to see the back of him. Mystified by the love.

12 months ago, we were about to go on a run of 13 games without a win!

We do have the strongest squad now since that last year of Warbs, not as good as that one yet especially in midfield but we have a lot of options

What's so nice is having decent subs to come on. Also when we have a three match week we can swap players in and out without severely weakening the team once everyone is fit.

And JCS, Poku and Frey in the wings, sounds like a Red Bull ad

He possessed the 'it' factor. If you gave him any grief, you were going to get 'it.

Agree, but the saddest thing is that it is miles behind the best squads in this division and not just the parachute clubs or the Commercial Giants coming up from below. Look at Derby, Norwich, Millwall and Bristol C - all miles ahead of us on paper.

We are so far away from promotion and even with the best squad we've had in years, so much more likely to exit the division through the trap door.

Going to take a sustained run of effort to keep midtable...

Can we go out yet?

Fantastic. Usually after five minutes on the pitch which meant he couldn't tackle again for the rest of the match so players would then waltz past him knowing he couldn't do anything. And he'd often do it when there was plenty of cover around. At least Field only generally gets a yellow card when there's no other option. Players would sometimes wind him up knowing he'd bite. That match where he came on at half time and still managed to get sent off for two yellow cards for arguing with the ref. Total liability.

I don't care if players are well hard if they lose their heads as much as Colback did.And when Saito does more tackles than you you can't boast too much.

But aside from that he was expensive and could hardly ever play. Good riddance!

Colback: Ginger Marmite. I quite liked him. Helped see out a few wins and away draws with his experience. I’ll take Issac Hayden over him though. A player we badly need to balance the squad. Great composure on the ball.

quite telling that he couldn't find himself a deal before the season started. Can he still go somewhere now as a free agent?

Injured a lot. But worse than that, he let us down at crucial moments by getting himself stupidly sent off, usually for gobbing off. A bit of a liability really.
