0915?? That's ridiculous ... what are they doing with them, keeping them in the ground getting wound up like caged animals?
Sorry away fans, derby rivals or not, that is shit. No reason that couldn't be an hour later?
Im estimating that they will be here by 9.15, it could be earlier, but then again they might be taking them on a tour of our beautiful city and the docks before they take them to the ground

Will probably end up they won't leave Fratton until 9:00 then a slow convey, so all 3 departure points meet up somewhere (maybe Winchester park & ride). Police escort to St. Marys, can't see them arriving before 10:00, giving them chance to have a beer or 2, then time for high level searches (bet they still get a flare in!!!)

Gonna pause on Canute Road so they can see the site of the riots caused by the pompey blacklegs being brought in to break the 1890 dock strike (the one that actually has documented history)

Love that photo. Reminds me of the Archers in the early 80s(?) when flat caps were all the thing along with butchers coats…..
It would be great to know which way the bubble comes in. With the rain, there won't be any interactions with the Pompey support at all, apart from inside the stadium.

That's why the police won't let on!! Didn't some of the away coaches get bricked last time?

That’s how it should be though isn’t it.
Don’t forget that this League Derby is not only the first for many years for the fans, but also for the Stadium security staff and the Police. I expect that on the day they both may well be over zealous due to inexperience.
What’s the point of seeking out or getting involved in trouble which in all likelihood will see those who do so ending up with a Stadium banning order, a criminal conviction or possibly even prison ?
let’s all enjoy the experience as a hotly contested football fixture, have a good shout and go home happy or disappointed without the worry of waiting for Plod to knock on the door later on.
News just in from a copper friend of mine who's actually policing the game Sunday.
There will be a traffic police car on every bridge from Portsmouth to Southampton on Sunday.
The coaches will be parking on land on the industrial estate next to the ground. There's a footpath/walkway in the Chapel corner where they will all be marched to the ground from in one go with additional fencing installed. They will arrive at approx 9.15 am and ALL away fans will be in the ground by 10.00 am!
The police say there's a group of Pompey 'yoof' - all aged 16-22 - who cause the trouble & who all wear Stone Island or Weekend Offender gear, lol. But they are all well known to the police who won't be taking any sh1t on Sunday. Police will be checking every single ticket away fans have against their photo ID to ensure it has been sold to that person.

That’s got to better than trying to match them over a mile through the City from the station to the ground.

There's a pick up from Winchester Park and Ride at 0955, so they won't all be in by 10 (though my mate was told he had to be there an hour before pick up time)
