If we beat Oxford and draw at Bristol City, this is a half decent result. I feared a loss at half time, so happy we drew level, but then our fight dissolved quickly. They had a great result away at Portsmouth, last time and fair dos to them for their fight and resolve in the most dreadful of circumstances.
Dreadful game. Half decent result. We move on.

People saying the subs didn’t make sense but they did for 15 mins after the break .
We could and should have wrapped the game up there and then but we were wasteful.
Thought Kone was prett bad today (admittedly my stream was crap so may have missed good moments ). In hindsight , Frey for Kone instead of Burrell was the better option if you are going to bring Frey on.
He was pretty poor overall though himself wasn’t he .
Agree with Baz, RND was probably the best of an average bunch. He’ll have ‘nothing special’ on his headstone but was very solid I thought .
Madsen ok too without really doing anything amazing .
JS likes taking Varane off doesn’t he ?

Overall I thought the front 4 just didn’t click today . You could see at times what they were trying to do , but that happens sometimes .

For me the real highlight of today is Stephan. Making 3 changes at half time to try to arrest a poor first half, for ne speaks volumes about both his decisiveness and blows away the notion he is not in charge of team selection. And up to a point it worked, getting straight back into the game 2nd half. Unfortunately couldn't build on that early momentum and it drifted away, but full marks to JS for decisive actions. | | | |

Kind of got it, Wednesday were playing a low block 5 across the back with Bannon dropping in really deep as well, there was just no space behind to run into especially after the goal. Unfortunately Frey was so awful failing to win anything in the air, he and Kone seem to get in each others way. In many ways it would have been better to have Kolli on the bench and coming on for how that game progressed as we needed to pass and move through them or the wide players needed to put crosses in rather than cutting in every time | | | |

First game in three I've managed to (more or less) properly watch.
On one hand, pretty standard lower championship stodge. On the other hand, got to give credit to Sheff Wed to put in performances with that with the (complete lack of) resources they have and crisis they are in.
Agree with others, Frey looked like he needed oiling after too much time unused. WTF has happened to Dembele? He had a good 5 mins after coming on but otherwise, like in every other game this season so far, poor and a shadow of the star who we had at the start of last season. | | | |

I thought with our forward line we might have had a go at them but it never happened. Bristol City went there a couple of weeks ago, attacked them from the off, and went in at half time 3-0 in front. In the end it is just relief we didn't lose but I notice Charlton have gone above us in the table as we didn't win today. Definitely need to play better against Oxford and Bristol. |  | | |
