No problem

We've got this one 3 - 1 to us.

Saito for sore eyes drifts past and slots it in.

King Kone top bins

Frey bentos off the bench with a nut case header.

Obviously we're gonna have to keep an eye on that inbred looking fella Bazza Bannon from tearing our midfield a new one.

But we've got this one lads

I will "knock" Walsh and I will "knock" Nardi as neither is good enough for a team pushing up the table. One needs massive improvement on distribution and the other one needs to improve his command of his box.

Can't work out why the young 'un who had a season in the EFL and was MotM for Barnsley yesterday was sent out on loan instead of Walsh. If you are going to drop Nardi...

Nardi is poor when controlling the box and probably shouldn’t have come for that ball. Had he stayed put, it would have given him a better chance to save it and the defenders would have challenged more for the header.

On the plus side, I think he is a better shot stopper and distributor than Walsh, plus I think he’s more trusted by the defence. Just play to his strengths more, understand he’s limited with crosses and adjust because we won’t fix the situation until January.

Have to work with what we’ve got for now and I welcome the adaptations we have made to accommodate the strength of the resources we have. Generally much more practical than last season and better results directly attributable to that approach.

We lose that game 0-1 last season. 100% These lads have a bit of grit about them. I’d have taken 1-1 before kick off. 10 points from 12 after the horror show at Coventry is some turnaround. Credit to Julien, the players, Nourry and staff. See you all on Weds at HQ. COYRs!!!!!!

I thought he was ok, Oslo. Not as involved as he was of late. Major plus was set pieces and scoring the peno. Against that, I thought he was poor for their goal when his man climbed above him with ease to head home. Had he got off the ground, he might have saved Nardi's blushes.

Thought Madsen looked very involved myself with and without the ball, MOM for us. RND and Mbuengue did well too, but most of the players that have done so well the last 3 games seemed well off form for some reason yesterday - Saito, Kone and Vale in particular. Hope we can get to where we were Wednesday.

Ya, it was kind of flat wasn't it? Even after our brief rally at the start of the second half, it just slipped away from us again. The fouling really hurt us as well, I thought.

Maybe lacked awareness, discipline and smarts, which will sometimes happen with a very young team.

Agree also about RnD, who was my MOTM, and Mbengue, who was my second.

I suspect that Nardi is being coached (told) to come for more crosses because it is a weakness obvious to opposing teams.

However he just doesn’t look comfortable doing it and arguably he should have ‘stayed at home’ for the cross on the goal.

Weds definitely targeted Saito, always players around him and he was often fouled before he had a chance to do anything. Thought Saito did look tired towards the end and his first touch wasn't as good as usual.

Kone seemed to be heavily penalised by the ref for mostly just being stronger than the defenders.

Yeah it felt like he had it in his head from the start that Kone would be committing fouls and just blew up every time the ball went near him. We apparently committed 19 fouls and I don’t think they’d have had any complaints if he’d waved for play to continue through most of them. 45 yards from goal and going nowhere, fall over and get a free hit to pump it into the box time and again.

I was told that rewiring a house was coachable by my Dad (an electrical engineer), so I tried until I electrocuted myself ! I’m always happy to pay the electrician bills and stick to financing the house.

Some things are not meant to be, Frank Doberman should have a word with Nardi…..

That’s was very clear on the stream, I agree on Saito.

Kone was just a bit slower and therefore it came across a bit more antagonistic that previously and the ref seemingly picked up on that. Frey was so slow he didn’t really tackle anyone to annoy the ref !!!

Plumbing disaster cancelled play, sounds like we didn't click against a bogey side. Do have a very nice new kitchen tap though, it has lovely action.

Mads took that penalty very well indeed. Nardi missed that cross by a mile.

Point away an acceptable return.

I do wonder if against bristol we bring back Smyth for his pace, possibly on the left but interseted to know if others would stick or twist on the formation.

Definitely bring back Paul Smyth for Ashton Gate of all places, says I.

Not entirely sure that Smyth added anything on Saturday. His 'run-fast-fall-over-bitch-about-foul' shtick is feeling tired, to me. I'd rather he get the ball to someone in the box than try to win a free kick. The refs are wise to his act by now and his reactions often put him closer to a booking than I'd like.

TBF given that referee yesterday seemed to think absolutely every bit of contact was a free kick it was worth more of a go than usual.

Anybody know if Hamer could do a job for us? He seems experienced but has not played for a long time.

no chance we use Hamer. he's balls and bibs, he wasn't even a Championship player in his 20s.

That guy was a real party. As soon as a game of football broke out he put a stop to it. Apart from shoving Saito literally a couple of yards though the air, apparently that's not a foul.

Tomorrow will be all about Madsen.

The Owls will be sickened by Madsen, and the Owls will talk about Madsen, and the Owls will fear Madsen. And when the Owls closes their eyes at night and they're tortured by their subconscious for the evil they have done, it will be with thoughts of Madsen they are tortured with.
