Its a funny one really, from a brutal truth standpoint with all of Wednesday's issues every club in this division should expect 3 points from them, but that also makes it a huge banana skin fixture.
And in addition, you have to play to earn wins, no-one is going to roll over and give it to you (well, excepting us at Coventry perhaps...) so if you're not on it you'll get caught out.
A point better than none, always.

Today was a failing on my part someone else can do the match thread next week
No! None of that defeatist nonsense from you please! A point away from home is not a reason to shirk your responsibilities: you need to stay on for Oxford.
Though you did tempt fate by wearing the pink shirt for the game which smacks of complacency creeping in: hopefully lessons learnt 😉

For me the real highlight of today is Stephan. Making 3 changes at half time to try to arrest a poor first half, for ne speaks volumes about both his decisiveness and blows away the notion he is not in charge of team selection. And up to a point it worked, getting straight back into the game 2nd half. Unfortunately couldn't build on that early momentum and it drifted away, but full marks to JS for decisive actions.
If not to his team for playing more than, what?, 15 minutes or so of football (a la start of the season)!
Wednesday won’t be the worst team we would have played this season, in fact they looked better than Wrexham. Throw in that they are playing as if their life depended on it in the face of Chansiri and off the back of their first win. They ran Leicester close on the opening day and if Bannan got a red card that game I suspect that they could have gained a point. Pederson has got them well organised and fair play to them. Given their predicament in a financially perverse sport I hope the players do the club justice unlike those at North Battersea who thankfully made my evening. Problem is that because of their troubles everyone thinks that playing them will be a roll over. I’m happy with a point because QPR 24-25 version would have lost that. We are still very much learning as a team ourselves.

Pretty disjointed but they kept at it, good commitment in the tackles.
I liked Madsen taking the ball confidently and smashing it in. Good to see.
A decent enough point overall I thought.
Madsen was excellent again, our best player by a way today. Solid defensively and started most of our best attacks. Nourington- Davies did well especially going forward, MBenge too. Kone, Vale, Saito, and Frey way off their best.

Fairly poor game - ref didn't have a clue, every time a Weds player fell over he gave a free kick. Their goal shows why Nardi doesn't usually come for crosses, he would have saved the header if he had stayed on his line.
Bannan, still a good player at this level but should have been off with a 2nd yellow - ref bottled the decision and Inglesson could also have had a 2nd yellow.
Still, would have been happy with a point before the game so if we can win on Weds against Oxford, 13 points from 15 will be a good return.

Poor performance, bar the 15 minutes after half time. There was no real control of the ball, and I couldn't say that a single player had a good game.
JS clearly not happy at HT and I don't think his mood will be any better after that. Highlight? A point away.
Next game we've got to be a lot better.
I thought Madsen had an excellent game with and without the ball, he set up our best attacking moves and his defensive work seems to improve every game these days. RND was pretty good, particularly getting forward. MBengue as well, and he managed to control his aggression as necessary and avoided another yellow card. Nardi, Saito, Kone and Vale were all well under what they can do.

Ref was awful. I thought it was a clear penalty when Morrison headed over the bar - couldn't get over the ball to score as the defender had a handful of his shirt. But this ref was never going to give a second penalty to us, he just wanted to stay in his comfort zone, giving cheap free kicks to those who shouted loudest.
Same at home to Charlton when Morrison attempted an overhead kick from a corner. As the corner came in a defender had both arms around Morrison holding him back, Ref must have seen it. Stonewall penalty but the vast majority of the time nothing is given.

I think we should hold the players to a higher standard than the performance yesterday. The Stoke game should now be the minimum we expect. Stephans making three substitutions at half time said everything, and good on him.

Where’s the knockers for Walsh now Nardi is crap at coming for any balls
I will "knock" Walsh and I will "knock" Nardi as neither is good enough for a team pushing up the table. One needs massive improvement on distribution and the other one needs to improve his command of his box.
Can't work out why the young 'un who had a season in the EFL and was MotM for Barnsley yesterday was sent out on loan instead of Walsh. If you are going to drop Nardi...

Anybody know if Hamer could do a job for us? He seems experienced but has not played for a long time.

If we are going to progress we need to find another goalkeeper, not impressed by the two who have kept goal this season. Lets ask Stoke if they will let us have their man in January.

I thought he was ok, Oslo. Not as involved as he was of late. Major plus was set pieces and scoring the peno. Against that, I thought he was poor for their goal when his man climbed above him with ease to head home. Had he got off the ground, he might have saved Nardi's blushes.
