Got caught offside once and kicked the ball straight out for a throw on to us, that was his only contribution to the game! To think I used to rate this kid , shows what I know

Just been on their forum and from the moment Sincs came on they were, well, not too complimentary about the lad. Shame really because I thought his 30 minute cameo was fantastic. £2million. Nourry warrants a medal for that sale!

Just need to look at Dykes and Sinclair v Kone and Burrell to see what the difference in our league position is

Hope he figures it all out.

I've seen him play very well for Ireland U-21's against damn good teams, so he can do it.
But something's just not right.

I thought he'd signed for some Greek club on loan.

I gotta say he was lightning quick but he never seemed to have the ability of taking/keeping the ball with him.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Way too rarely, Ted. I agree.

As I say, I've seen him have games where it all comes together, but way, way too rarely for us.

I can't help wondering if there's a maturity/composure thing going on - the erratic decision-making, the far-too-long calebrations when he scored, the angry looking demeanour, the endless transfer speculation. There's something just not right.

I think he needs to play in a team which plays a traditional 4-4-2 with balls being pinged over the top. Actually, our current formation would suit him much better than the 4-2-3-1 that we played when he was with us. Can see him ending up at Wycombe,.

He's just not grasped a loylt of the basics strikers need. The assistant ref's must have arm ache by full time if he plays a whole game.

He's scored 6 goals for us and Brizzle in nearly 100 games. He's just not a centre forward - at this level anyway. Might find his feet in League 1, but for me he's probably a big unit winger.

Let’s not be too hard on him. Just not good enough at this level.

Agreed. He'd have been better signing a new contract and trying to develop with QPR. His career looks like it will end a few divisions down from championship. I suppose at least he will have made some good money for himself with a decent contract at Bristol City.

He needs a move, even on loan as they hate him there at this point. Seems a nice kid but badly advised.

On a different note, is Alfie Lloyd injured since he joined Orient or just not making the squad?

Lloyd got injured pretty much as soon as he arrived at Orient.

Fck him, couldn't care less. He chased the money rather than staying and learning his art whilst being forgiven by a very forgiving fan base who wanted him to succeed.

And we got £2m, mugged. 🤣

He's a wide forward in a 4-3-3 needs the right club and to drop down to find his potential

I wa very pleased when he played in place of Dykes because he bought more to the team. On saying that he was very limited, in fact I have seen young 13 year olds with more technical ability than Armstrong…..he will be playing non league football very soon if he is lucky.

Did absolutely nothing when he came in today, nothing🙈🙈.

Nothing nouveau about it. I always thought he was hopeless. A quick read on the Bristol C match thread shows they, to a man, think the same thing. In fact they hardly talk about anything else!

Please do not think that I hate Armstrong, I, 100%, do not hate him....he just is not very good at all but gave his all when he had the shirt on.

Fair point, what I actually meant was the longing for and adulation of (not you personally) our players not living up to their potential, or just simply moving on to pastures new. Substitute Sinclair for Duke-McKenna, for Dykes read Manning, for Dieng swap in Dickie... just not cricket i em aitch oh

Not buying that. Doesn’t matter where you play him, he isn’t a natural footballer. Putting him out wide doesn’t solve his problem. He’s got no touch, and no technique, so good luck playing on the wing where he’ll be exposed even more. He’ll be lucky to make it at league 2 level.
