The feed I was watching went down after about 10 minutes so switched to the Brizzle one. Will say their commentator on I think is called RobinsTV was as monotoned as they come and seemed not to know half our players. Plenty of pregnant pauses. Switched back to the QPR feed just before they scored but listening to Tyler, he is so good it is almost a radio commentary. And he certainly does his homework on the opposition beforehand.
I like how he says how much he loves being QPR's official commentator, and he's said that a few times now. It feels genuine. He's a young lad living a dream life.
And he's pretty talented at what he does. I can see him progressing in his chosen career.

Yep… I think he will be off to a tv channel soon.

Sky have already used him this season. And I imagine we'll hear plenty more of him. As said above, he is just a young lad living his dream and that shines through. When a commentator truly cares about the game, it makes such a difference
I think he's been brilliant since the very beginning. Whether it be with Sints, Cookie, or flying solo - he's excellent at what he does! And I genuinely think he's become an 'R' now, one of us! (The poor lad!)

He's getting better and better, first game without Sints he struggled a little bit having to fill more space but was very good yesterday to the point it was much less noticeable there was no co-commentator, interviews are improving as well. Expect to hear him on Sky or MOTD within a couple of years. Amazing really considering his age

I wasn't impressed with him at the start, and still miss Nick London, but I agree he's really developing with both his commentaries and interviews. He's intelligent, perceptive, and clearly dedicated. I wish him well with his career.
He's great. If you ever see him in real life he is tiny, I was quite surprised.
I wonder what's a better gig for a commentator, doing the in house comms for a Champ club, or doing the SKy Sports red button comms whilst watching a TV. If that's the next step for him then seems a shame as he will be lost to the ether!

I would say he'd choose live comms at QPR as opposed to Sky Sports Red Button comms whilst watching TV hands down.
But I'm being biased.
I honestly don't think he sees commentating for QPR (plus all the other media bits he does) as "just a job", but has a genuine connection to the club , the players and the fans now.

I mean I know nothing about that industry but I guess commentating from the studio watching a TV is the first step. Once he proves himself he will then progress to live games. Being a football commentator for someone like Sky is the pinnacle of that industry and will be his dream, I hope he achieves it as he has the talent.
