Half decent tv 06:36 - Apr 29 with 1067162 views | LadbrokeR | I watched the last episode of line of duty and thought that was good. Undercover has finally grabbed by attention. I quite like some of the investigative programmes Stacey Dooley does. However I can't wait for the next series of people just do nothing.

Half decent tv on 13:32 - Sep 24 by HAYESBOY | Just watched a Documentary on ITVX about the PPE scandal during covid called The Covid Contracts : Follow The Money. Just unbelievable. I was aware of the PPE part of the story and the Tory mates fast lane to raking in millions, but it went further with the Flow Test and PPR tests and then the track and trace app. Then there is also the moving, storage and destruction of the PPE that was not used or not up to standard. A total of 39 billion. These fvckers will get away with it as well, despite the enquiry. |
Don't remember Sunak being afforded any childish nicknames for that unprecedented theft of public money, either.

British companies with the skill - and need - to make this stuff denied contracts because rich people could make a lot more buying sub-standard shit from China. It's bloody treason against the people.

Half decent tv on 19:13 - Sep 25 with 3943 views | Ghost_on_the_Westway | We get a quick mention half-way through the second (and last) episode of The Escape Artist (Netflix) - one of the secondary characters turns out to be a fan. Probably not worth the wait, though! Another one that starts out quite promisingly - basically how the law makes it possible for people who are bang to rights get away with it - but has a bleedin stupid ending.

When does this finish? I prefer to watch these things in one go and not all episodes available on my "viewing platform" as yet

Half decent tv on 07:54 - Sep 27 with 3030 views | PlanetHonneywood | I know the title asks for 'half decent' but anyone seen 'House of Guinness'? Two into it and it seems a mere case of wash, rinse, and repeat the 'Peaky Blinders' model. I know the same bloke wrote or directed the two, but it feels very formulaic: sets look the same, even same character types with the Shelbys. Anyone gone deeper into the series and if so: worth sticking with or not?

In about a month I think. Ep 4 out this week, and it's 8 episode in total. Might be wrong.

I've just finished E6 and it does get spicier around E5. Stick with I say. On a side note, as Guinness drinker, it does give you the horn for the black stuff. [Post edited 29 Sep 18:14]

Barry, no getting horny while watching TV and talking about it on here, while trying to pass it off as beer appreciation if you please!

Half decent tv on 06:52 - Oct 4 with 1688 views | Lblock | The Hack. I was looking forward to this as there a stellar cast of ITV drama stalwarts in it. Bits of it are brilliant but I thought it tri d to do too much and be too clever rather than simply dramatise a scandalous but really interesting story. It lost me in large sections as never really flowed Tenant like oking at the camera all the time with knowing gazes and then narrating to the viewer annoyed me. Maybe it’s just me and I watched it in the wrong mood…..

Not as powerful as 'Adolescence', but still very gripping. Murphy his usual customary self: good, believable and the heir apparent to Danny Day Lewis. That said, I still find myself saying in a deep Brummie accent, 'Hey, orright Tommy!'

I've had the privilege of seeing next week's episode early. Ep6 - the penultimate episode, and it's one of the finest pieces of TV I've seen in recent memory. Up there with True Detective Season 1 quality of writing. Hopefully it sticks the landing.
Half decent tv on 17:40 - Oct 8 with 825 views | HAYESBOY | Just finished The Hack. I wasn't sure at first how I felt about the style of the drama, breaking the 4th wall and some of the graphics, but in the end it didn't get in the way of the horrific actions by some of the tabloid press. I read the book when it came out and it made me angry then, and watching this has made me angry again, especially when they add at the end that part 2 of Levinson was shut down by the Tories, and that this Labour Government, (which promised Levinson part 2 would go ahead) are not going ahead with it. Overall a good watch.
