I watched the last episode of line of duty and thought that was good. Undercover has finally grabbed by attention. I quite like some of the investigative programmes Stacey Dooley does. However I can't wait for the next series of people just do nothing.

Finished watching Dope Sick earlier this week - immense TV
Having done some work for big pharma I was intrigued - brutal profit driven stuff, it's not in their interest to cure anyone.

Just started White Lotus.
Three episodes in and not impressed (apart from by Alexandra Daddario..... my days she is Schmo-kin!)

Amazed to see that the 2009 'Red Riding' Trilogy has just been slung up on Netflix of all places .

IMHO it ranks with 'Tinker, Tailor, ''True detective ' series 1 and 'the shadowline' as the greatest Television ever created by the hand of man.

Fantastical.

Just added this to my watch list

Watching the re-runs of Soap on Rewind tv (on right now) - it's stood the test of time as comedy goes I think.

Edit - mind you watching this espisode it's very politically incorrect for today's market

I'm on series 3 of 'Das Boot' which I think has been mentioned before.

Excellent cast and acting though the series 2 plot is a bit far fetched however U-123 did sail up to New York in 1942 so...
Interesting note U-123 was scuttled then raised and entered french service and was decommisioned in 1959!

Goebbels from "Downfall" makes an appearance at the end of 2 and the intro for 3 has part of Goebbels speech (real one) I wonder if that was deliberate as the part is played by a different actor in 3.

Anyway enjoying it.

Mrs Monkey and I watched that a few years ago.

It started really well, but eventually got really weird and uninteresting... high hopes when it started out though.

I've watched 1883 and am on series 2 of 1923 - really good watch... Dalton is excellent I reckon.

I'm then going to watch Yellowstone.

Twin Peaks you mean? If so yeah I totally get that. All the interesting cinematography and artistry is basically gone by that point (like I say, I think Lynch wasn't really involved for this stretch of series 2), and you're just left with a totally bonkers story line (and some just pointless stuff - what's the point of James' subplot where he's getting framed for murdering someone?), but some characters you've got invested in. I'm just gritting my teeth and ploughing through it at this point because i want to watch the third series.

Dept Q on Netflix is pretty good

Cop drama set in Edinburgh

Solely based on your recommendation, I watched this despite Matthew Goode often sending me to sleep. I can only say, 'Well done, you'.

Goode was excellent, not his usual foppish role, and Dept Q likewise. Clearly a second series is left hanging.

Anyway, it's a top watch. Top recommending Mr. ED!

Not sure if it's already on here but some of the episodes of The Bear on Disney + are genius. Especially Forks and Seven Fishes. Knocks spots off the overblown (IMVHO) The Joker as a study of the impact of mental health challenges. Like the best dramas all of the cast are important and eventually you hear all of the back stories. Not always tied up in a neat bow while still avoiding gratuitously negative storylines.

The Bear has been covered before. First two seasons amazing, absolutely loved them. 3rd was still good but not at the same level. I haven't watched the new season yet.

New season of The Bear is definitely a return to form (and a bit more feel-good too).

I loved the Bear and also hated it.
Acting was great, but the cousin thing got on my wick. Plus there was too much drama about the wrong things. Its not that hard to put up a plasterboard wall ;p

Started watching again (for the third time) Early Doors.

Only two series but brilliant comedy based on a Northern pub and the characters within. You will recognise many of the actors.

Superb show.

You also get to learn the name of the dog who found the World Cup.

I agree. Series 3 felt a bit like setting things up for series 4 more than anything else.Series 4 moves things on more (still 4 episodes to go).
