I watched the last episode of line of duty and thought that was good. Undercover has finally grabbed by attention. I quite like some of the investigative programmes Stacey Dooley does. However I can't wait for the next series of people just do nothing.
Guy Ritchie's latest show MobLand on Paramount + has been superb so far. Not quite as good as The Gentlemen - this one's much bleaker, with Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren on top form.
Brosnan’s Irish accent is pretty awful . Which is slightly worrying as he is Irish . Pretty decent show though .

I’m watching this but it really is Guy Ritchie trying to out Guy Ritchie himself All a bit much
Brosnan and Mirren are pretty shite in it for me; their accents are an abomination
It reminds me a bit of a cross between Black Doves and Gangs of London
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal
"This City Is Ours" has been brilliant so far, in my view. It's a bit like "Kin" but set on Merseyside. I like the multiple, interwoven plotlines, it's not just about the drug dealing.
We just watched the first two episodes of "Families like ours" and thought it was excellent, if worrying. It's a Danish drama in which the Danish government has decided to close the country in the light of major and ongoing flooding. It's on the BBC.
"Families like ours": I just finished watching it.
Man alive, that was something.
It was harrowing, it was gruelling, but I genuinely don't think I've ever watched anything so moving. Incredible stuff
The penultimate episode was so engaging that Mrs R from Afar forgot to eat her dessert 🍨!
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
There is a series starting on ITV on the 20th June called Noel Edmonds Kiwi adventure It's a reality show about Noel Edmonds starting up a pub and a wellbeing business in new zealand. Think Clarksons farm with Noel Edmonds
Not my usual cup of tea but I had to watch it for work today and if you like things like the Office or Alan Partirdge it's well worth a watch. I don't think it's intended to be this funny but he goes full David Brent in this and a bit like Brent you end up rooting for him by the end
Good so far, only watched a couple of episodes. Saw the original Danish series a few years ago on the Beeb 4 Saturday night Scandi slot. It was a lot darker.
Shifty, documentary series about Britain in the eighties and nineties on iPlayer. Its brilliantly made and gives those of us who lived through it plenty to think about. The maker Alan Curtis puts it altogether superbly It's a bit different from regular docs but have a look it might make you change your mind!

I loved some of the stuff he used to do on his blog years ago, the short films he made about Rojava were superb. He's an interesting guy with an artistic flair for sure. I do find some of his more concrete analysis a bit lacking, in that he seems have a bit of a liberal blind spot for structural materialist forces. I'll check this out though

Yeah I enjoy all of Adam Curtis' stuff, I used to think he was the oracle for how the world really works (unfortunately he isn't) but I love how he puts his films together.

Binged watched the series. It's a bit like Slow Horses, stick with it, it's worth it.
I'm sure it's somewhere in here already, but I recently watched both series of Andor. Passed me by originally despite the rave reviews because it's Star Wars and for nerds right? But it's ace. Set in the Star Wars universe, but gritty, very plot heavy, kind of game of thrones-y, exploring the moral complexities of rebellion. Fantastic sound track too.
I'm currently watching Twin Peaks for the first time! Loved the first series and first half of second. It's starting to lose me a bit now, I apparently Lynch stepped away from it towards the end which shows, but I hear it picks up right at the end when he came back on board. I want to stick with it because apparently the recent third season not long before Lynch died is excellent

Mrs Monkey and I watched that a few years ago.
It started really well, but eventually got really weird and uninteresting... high hopes when it started out though.
I've watched 1883 and am on series 2 of 1923 - really good watch... Dalton is excellent I reckon.
Not sure if it's already on here but some of the episodes of The Bear on Disney + are genius. Especially Forks and Seven Fishes. Knocks spots off the overblown (IMVHO) The Joker as a study of the impact of mental health challenges. Like the best dramas all of the cast are important and eventually you hear all of the back stories. Not always tied up in a neat bow while still avoiding gratuitously negative storylines.
