To win or not to win, Rotherham cup game. 09:08 - Jan 4 with 43470 viewscyprusmel

That is the question, should we try to win and risk a backlog of fixtures and a possible derailment of our promotion campaign or play a weakened side and exit to concentrate on the remaining league fixtures.

Looks like it could be 'Life in the Fast Lane' for Joe Walsh again next Saturday.

we are massive, too big for the 4th rd, a real giant killing today, well done the team, squad and backroom staff etc, well done those who went and stayed and likely had chest palpitations! the magic of the cup lives, the dream is on.

And nearly 3hrs later...

Well done for not giving up Rangers. In the hat!

We're good at those penalties....mostly!!

Something to ponder for possible future play-offs.....???

Well done Rangers - this was so frustrating for most of the afternoon and looked like another 3rd round grrrr exit to add to the litany of entries.

This team - this manager - it's just different.

I’d be surprised if we didn’t push on from here to win the thing.

He's the new kid in town but take it easy and in the long run he could take it to the limit. At least there's no heartache tonight, just a peaceful easy feeling. Tequila sunrise time

Still totting up the pros and cons on this one. I think we're in the black but it's a bit tricky to tell with the Archer injury.

I am concerned with our form of late, though.

As for Archer, a heroic death. Bards will write poems of him. Epic poems written in lofty language, loft boy language even. Aeneas. a kick up the R'ssssssssssssssss.

Bloody unfortunate, get well soon

Luvly Jubbly. Some good penalties by us there.

I was starting to hope we might see keeper against keeper for a bit of novelty value.

Good to wriggle our way through that.

Well we nearly ended Rotherham's dire third round record. They had lost their last 11 third round games so when they took the lead I thought another charitable gift from us but no, we just about scraped through so 12 defeats for the Millers on a row for them.

When is the draw for the 4th Round of the FA Cup please?

A couple of years ago we would have to be at it 100% to get a win and any drop in performance usually meant we would get dicked

Now were winning when not even at 60% which shows were a good side and improved massively in last couple of years . It's better to peak at the back end of the season rather than shoot our load in September

Keep the faith as it will be two trips to Wembley this year

Well we never do anything easy do we. Managed to scrape through on that but at what cost with Archer injured and quite badly by the looks of it
Pretty dismal game and Rotherham are pretty direct and it pays off for them, obviously being top of the table
Always happy when we win but would have liked to have seen the likes of Armstrong get a run out .
Not sure what went on with Moses to be honest played 20 odd minutes and ran off a strange one that
MOTM for me was Uncle and lasted the 120 mins, we now need to have him hooked up to a oxygen rich environment to recover for WBA.
Was cursing my brotherhood dragging me down to this until the 115 min We won . . Also an 8-7 pen shoot out ..... but it wasn't good to be honest
As for crowd Elerlise Road close and still quite a few gaps 6k I reckon

Against Sheffield Red stripes my spider senses told me we were going to lose. Having consulted with my spider senses again, I can confirm they are telling me.......we are going to win this one!

Well:

Cons:
- Archer looking horribly injured at worst possible time for him and club
- Pretty grim performance despite putting out strong (on paper) team
- Extra time to tire out players

Pros:
- good performance from Archer, and we never know when we might need him again
- Dykes back on the scoresheet, good for his confidence
- We won. Counts double, I think, just about leaving us in the positives.

I first read the scores (in the kitchen doing the dinner) and thought we’d gone out 8-7. Is this the start of our run to the final !!?????

Calm down and breathe…….

Strong and stable my arse.

Big positive today is Dykes scoring as he tends to be streaky with his goals and will hopefully go on another run.

What, Archer dislocated his shoulder saving the last penalty?

Give that man a fast track to the Forever R's club. We are short on stoppers then so do QPR still have Fraser Digby's number?
