“Cash Bar “ 🧐

I know almost nothing about the Premier League even though I try to catch the big games every now and then at the end of the season. But I will say this, Queens Park Rangers is just a fukking sick ass team name. Just sounds so cool.

‘Just £79 plus VAT per game’ and one free drink. Am I missing something here?

So that's just the 95 quid and 130 quid once you add VAT on...

That’s about 73 quid + VAT more expensive than the Springbok although, granted, it’s unlikely I’d get a hot fork in there, whatever a hot fork might be.

seems really expensive for 1 drink, no seats and a bit of food

I was quite interested but thought no it's too cheap…can't be any good.

Reminds me of The Office when David Brent joins a dating agency.

Having been on the giving and taking (ahem) end of hot fork buffet catering, there's a lot of latitude here. Could be an extraordinary exhibition of street food from up-and-coming young chefs. Could be a lukewarm plastic bowl of spaghetti they refused at Feltham YOI.

What an odd name given how shite we are at set pieces. I'd be worried that my free drink doesn't get past the first man and into my paw.

Has anyone on here ever done this corner lounge hospitality?

It says the seats are in South Africa Road stand. Are they regular seats or are you in the directors seating with the fancier hospitality seats?

You get it in your hand for a minute, then someone takes it off you and drinks it in front of you.

I did it for the Jimmy Dunne Birmingham game, which was my dad's birthday and there were 10 of us. my dad and i have season tickets in S block, and the tickets they gave us for the corner bar were high up in SA Road, near the away fans. Can't remember the exact row / block, but it was basically the exact opposite side of the ground to where we normally sit.

the 'hot fork' before the game was a pretty good curry, and after there were decent small pies of which my son had about 7.

It was full of (very nice) American families who were in London for a week or so and wanted to see a game. None of them knew each other, but all seemed to have ended up there the same way - couldn't get prem tickets.

Sounds good. £95 for season ticket holder for the corner lounge and £212 for the W12 restaurant for ST holders.

Guess in Watford Box today, £300 head and grub not a patch on at Rangers,

Tourists & very special occasions ours seems good value in comparison.

I did this a year or two back. Felt very modern day Rangers; a lot of money for what it was. Morgan Fox went to shake hands with someone and knocked over two tables worth of drink (no sign of him at the cash bar) and Wayne Fereday was brilliant value, particularly in keeping the old Man sweet. Wouldn’t recommend but equally the sort of thing you wouldn’t regret.

At least we know Barton won't be there, as he won't get past the first man.
