Eze 09:08 - Apr 16 with 6506 viewssdm1508

I was just wondering what people's thoughts are on him since he moved to palace. Do you think he has improved as a player and if so what areas of his game have got better since he was with us or having better players around him helped? I mean having better players around him allows for more things to actually come off for him. He might have tried something with us and the players couldn't react etc

I was watching him in a game the other night and it just seems to be his consistency. His base level now seems to be a notch or two up. He doesn't have to do something amazing to effect the game

I think at the Prem level he has improved immeasurably. I think with De Bruyne leaving City at the end of the season they need someone who can slide passes in and create chances with early vision and for me Eze would be that player all day. However, I can see Palace trying very hard to hang on to him because he is the key to their wellbeing in the prem these days. So if he does go I can see it being up near the £100m mark in which case we can buy a hat full of right backs for next season!

Never knowingly right.

Does he not have a release clause much lower than £100M

I think we need a "Do we need another Eze thread" thread.

He's definitely improved alot but he has lost a bit of flare he had with us. His passing and playmaking got alot better but he doesn't try to skill anyone anymore

Probably because Prem defenders are better than Championship ones and won't get sold by his tricks so easily.

My concern with him going to City is Pep would coach out of him all the things that make him good. He would just become one of the many cogs that make the system work. I'm not Grealish's biggest fan but the off the cuff nature in which he used to play has been taken out of his game

I agree. For instance he looked much better playing for England under Tuchel than Southgate. Bit more freedom maybe? Similarly he didn't look as good under Hodgson as the current Palace manager.

Pleased for him as he seems to be a nice bloke too, on a separate subject WTF has happened to Spurs? one place above relegation I haven't got Sky so I dont/cant watch It.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Our chance on getting the Eze sell on fee might be more realistic, if Spurs try and get Glastner as their manager, he would most likely want to bring Eze with him.

As the Burnley fan said in Clive's opposition notes - bit frightening for the promoted teams. Looks like the two clubs to finish closest to the relegation zone are Man Utd and Spurs! Consider that - in order to stay up this season you would have needed to get more points than one of those.

I've just noticed manure's league position too.

Eberechi Eze has announced a £20 million donation to transform his family’s former home in South London into a state-of-the-art shelter for homeless individuals and families.

Never knowingly right.

Is that genuine?

If so, that's incredible. Has he even earned that much?

The date of that report is 8 May. Why hasn't this been on mainstream media? I can't see anything much elsewhere apart from that report which makes me rather suspicious.

He can't have earned so much that he could afford to give away £20m.

And, unless his family are Nigerian Princes..20 mill to convert the families home to house 120 people! I presume they're digging down, down down, deeper and down.

The article says it's a bond so I am guessing it's not just his own money, there will be a large amount from him based on what I have observed and read about his work with the homeless. Before he left us, he used to drive to home games in his mom's mini SUV. Perhaps money means a lot less to him than most people in his profession, or indeed, other professions.
You just never hear anyone say a bad word about him, unless you include those that continually informed us how lazy and arrogant he was.
