Eze 09:08 - Apr 16 with 49018 views | sdm1508 | I was just wondering what people's thoughts are on him since he moved to palace. Do you think he has improved as a player and if so what areas of his game have got better since he was with us or having better players around him helped? I mean having better players around him allows for more things to actually come off for him. He might have tried something with us and the players couldn't react etc I was watching him in a game the other night and it just seems to be his consistency. His base level now seems to be a notch or two up. He doesn't have to do something amazing to effect the game

These deals have to be registered for HMRC, insurance, purposes. So saying Arsenal got him for £5m won't help CPFC with their PSR needs. If players are part x/c then values will be applied.

No, both players have value for financial reasons.

They are also signing Norgaard from Brentford and maybe Gyokeres so thats a nice juicy 140 million pounds on the table while we are looking for loose change falling out of their pockets

Unless they sell Martinelli. However, we appear to be left with Spurs, and Levy will go in with a lowball offer, and try to get it down from there! Despite the lucid explanation someone gave to my query as to why Eze isn't the subject of a stampede of clubs beating a path to Selhurst Park, I remain staggered at that fact that no serious suitors are out there. The man is a Rolls Royce in a sea of Teslas.

Zubimendi is nothing like Eze, very different players in very different positions. Zubimendi is a Pirlo/Carrick type player. Arsenal signing Rodrygo or even Madueke would have a far greater chance of impacting any Arsenal move for Eze.

Zubimendi is a deep lying midfielder and will be replacing Partey. Arsenal will have a very competitive midfield with him, Rice, Merino and Odegaard fighting for starting places along with Norgaard from Brentford. The attack could include Eze,Saka and Gykores. If they have these players and they remain fit, then yes, they could very well put up a strong challenge for the EPL title. I hope they do get Eze and rather they win the League than Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea or Man Utd. I mainly wish they would hurry up and sign Eze so that QPR can get the sell on fee to buy another centre forward. They need two or three goalscorers in the squad. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Amazing that a bloke who stood out in the Championship, excels in the Premiership, and doesn't look out of place at international level can't attract any interest from the big boys in England or Europe. Eze is like knowing your numbers have come up in the lottery, but you can't find the effing ticket!

Arsenal and Spurs are trying to low ball Palace , that's why neither will ever win the league to small time .

I think it's the £68 million for a 27 year old with a handful of international caps. It's too much

True, that's not cheap. Then again, quality rarely is, and while there are no guarantees, he is Prem-tested, which I'd suggest makes him less of a gamble for the money.

Yeah I don't understand this argument, I've heard it said a lot that he's 27 now so can't command a £68 million fee. He only turned 27 a couple of weeks ago. If Birmingham can sign a 30 year old player that has not played football in England for £10 million, then a Premier League club with Premier League money can sign a 27 year old with almost 150 games of Premier League experience for £68 million.

Not that I am following the circus over there, but I did see the headline this morning and it looked nasty. He's a good player and I thought hmm, maybe. After all, they spent a lot on a 30 year-old Kane! If Kane, Olise, and the bloke they bought from Fulham have a shred of decency and respect for the Rangers, then they'll be knocking on the GM's door pleading that they sign our man and we're saluting Herr Eberi Eze before too long.

The club is well run, holding its own in the PL, playing Europa League football this season (subject to conditions) and is set for life already, as I believe he's on £100k a week, regardless if the aforementioned situations change. Unless things happen outside of his control (can he refuse a move even if the £68m is triggered?) then why not.

I have always thought this and would be surprised if a big club signed him. Of course I want to be proved wrong and according to Talksport the odds on Eb's joining Arsenal are shortening currently at 1/4.

I think that he wants to stay in London & if that means staying at Palace, then that is what he will do. His family, church & being comfortable in life appear to be very important to him.

Unfortunately I think you're probably right. But he is known to be an Arsenal fan and I think they could tempt him to leave Palace. Hopefully there's some substance to their reported interest in him.
Eze on 14:01 - Jul 8 with 1197 views | daveB | I wonder if Bayern will make a move now that Musiala has a bad injury For me 68million in todays market for his ability is well worth it, Arsenal are going to have to pay a lot more than that for the alternatives they are looking at
