Eze 09:08 - Apr 16 with 22193 views | sdm1508 | I was just wondering what people's thoughts are on him since he moved to palace. Do you think he has improved as a player and if so what areas of his game have got better since he was with us or having better players around him helped? I mean having better players around him allows for more things to actually come off for him. He might have tried something with us and the players couldn't react etc I was watching him in a game the other night and it just seems to be his consistency. His base level now seems to be a notch or two up. He doesn't have to do something amazing to effect the game

Yes, champions League football, they will be much better next season, so much potential at that club if they ever get it right

Eze on 16:49 - Jun 24 by dmm | Apparently, Spurs would want to pay the fee in installments which, I believe, isn't unusual. Palace seem to be happy with that. If it happened, would that mean the sell on fee due would be paid to us in instalments? I guess it would come down to whatever is in the agreement when we sold Eze to Palace. |
It’s not unusual for clubs to factor deals like this they have a guaranteed amount to be paid over say 4 years they get the money upfront for a fee from bank/ finance company. Some clubs have chosen this for parachute payments which is a dangerous gamble.

I agree, £12m or whatever it might be, in one hit would be like telling your 10 year old kid to fill his pick n mix bag at the Odeon on their birthday during the mid to late 90s | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Playing for the team he supports and staying in London would surely be his preferred choice….. if they make a move for him.

I'm not ITK but I am adamant he would only go to Spurs too, it's the only club I see him at. Having said that, if the Arsenal link is genuine he would go there.
Eze on 20:57 - Jun 26 with 1470 views | dmm | If we were to receive our cut in installments, presumably we could still 'spend' the whole £12m in this window and pay out in installments. I'm not suggesting we should but the option would be there.
Eze on 21:29 - Jun 26 with 1349 views | CateLeBonR | I think when Michael Olise went to Bayern that Palace settled up with Reading before the transfer went ahead. I must confess that I know very little about this sort of thing!

I disagree, I think he's exactly what the arsenal need, a proper creative source on the left, especially as they're about to sign Zubimendi and the Brentford fella. Spurs need resuscitation of any sort

My gooner brother would agree. He wants rid of Martinelli and bring in Ebbs as he has an end product.

Eze on 22:47 - Jun 26 with 1086 views | BlackCrowe | you'd hope it's Arsenal...they feel like cash buyers. Spurs under Levy will come with a load player exchange, deferred payment, conditional stuff that we'd probably get done over.

You can't spend it until you have it, unless you wanted to go into debt. So if you wanted to do the opposite, then you'd be running off to the bank for an extening the overdraft/loan brandishing a copy of the bill of sale to Palace and confirmation that you're receiving the £13.6m for good measure. I'd hope we'd spend wisely and not bollix all in one as I'm sure the fat Malay would have done.

I wonder whether the fee coming in installments will be better for FFP than getting it all in one go. I think the reason we had the hard season financially was because we got a lump for Eze which we could use to justify spending in that season and the following 2 seasons within the 3 year window but spending after the initial income year then caused a squeeze when the Eze money dropped out of the window. So 4.5m a year extra turnover for 3 years might be better.
