Eze 09:08 - Apr 16 with 83869 viewssdm1508

I was just wondering what people's thoughts are on him since he moved to palace. Do you think he has improved as a player and if so what areas of his game have got better since he was with us or having better players around him helped? I mean having better players around him allows for more things to actually come off for him. He might have tried something with us and the players couldn't react etc

I was watching him in a game the other night and it just seems to be his consistency. His base level now seems to be a notch or two up. He doesn't have to do something amazing to effect the game

I've heard he's signed contracts with Arsenal earlier today for £68 million. Haven't seen any news on this today, so might be bollox.

Let’s start a new thread on it!!

That's not evidence the deal is going through.

Its just a bs clickbait site saying could and maybe one hundred times....

Looking more and more likely that nothing to see here

Got an idea that Eze going to be at Palace for his career ahead.

As Arsenal acquired Madueke, who can play on both sides, they don't need another winger or left-sided player, given that Martinelli had a decent season last year.

There is the idea that Eze can play a number 10, but they are about to buy Gyokeres for that, and they still have Jesus. If anything, they need to replace or improve upon Havertz, a number 9, as he was injured for a significant part of last season, just when he had started a scoring run as well.

If they move Trossard on, then maybe it might happen.
I don't see Eze going to Arsenal unless something significant changes.

Gyokeres as a 10? He's been a straightforward striker at Coventry and Sporting, hasn't he?

FWIW (not much) was chatting with an arse season ticket holder and he reckons they are going for two players in every position and still want Ebs. They want him for left wing and 10 to compete/cover odegaard and Martinelli. Madueke is to replace sterling and cover Saka. Gyokeres is to upgrade Jesus/havertz. They’ll seek to offload trossard but don’t need to do that first.

10 pages, as many threads and yet, and effing yet, he's still not moved!

I'm lost patience with football and him for that matter. If he knew what was right, he'd be into Parish and threatening to go on strike until he's sold. Man of God, my ar$e.

Utter shithousery totally designed to fck us up. If I were a scouser, I'd be claiming 'its a conspiracy!' And do you know what lar, I'd be right!!

And bloody Bayern can do one as well. Kuntz the lot of 'em!!!

They might still want Eb's but don't want to pay the 68 million.

Brave move to bin off Trossard in my opinion, he got them out of a hole a few times last season.

Gyokeres will be an out and out striker.

He's much better on crosses than Jesus

I don't know why people say Jesus was good on crosses. He was terrible. He was literally crucified.

and may never happen! I have said all along that I didn't think anyone would pay really big bucks for Eb's. Really hoping that one club proves me wrong!

A 10 million windfall would be fantastic and spent wisely would give us a few seasons of not looking over our shoulders. Luxury!

I'm still hopeful there will be a transfer for Eze for his and our sakes. The fee Palace has set, how it's paid and what we'd get, however, isn't clear. It's £67.5m including add ons and we are supposed to receive 20%, but this is where it gets complicated.

It might get paid to Palace over 3 years. Does that mean we'd get the 20% over 3 years.

It might be a player plus fee deal. Does that mean we'd get less money?

Do we get 20% of the £7.5m add ons?

And, there was some reporting that the sell on clause we agreed with Palace isn't 20% of the whole fee they'd receive but 20% of the difference between what we received from Palace when we originally sold him (£19.5m incl add ons), and the amount Palace would receive from selling him.

So how much might we get this summer should Eze be sold? Well, it looks like it would be between £4m and £13.5m.

I think the answer to most of your questions dmmm would be, dunno.

However things like a player plus fee deal you really would expect us to have covered in the small print.

Looking back to Eb's transfer to Palace there weren't other clubs really interested in him then either. For all of his ability Eb's has never really been a player in demand.

Eze on 21:30 - Jul 21 with 1120 viewsNorrisGreen

Dunno what stats say but it feels like he's missed quite a few games with a series of knocks, tweaks and strains. I feel this has slightly dampened both his progress and his value. Most top players who command big fees and wages are pretty robust and don't miss many games - Eze needs a season or two injury free if he is ever going to transition into a superstar coveted by the elite teams. When fit, he looks capable of playing at that level though.
