I was just wondering what people's thoughts are on him since he moved to palace. Do you think he has improved as a player and if so what areas of his game have got better since he was with us or having better players around him helped? I mean having better players around him allows for more things to actually come off for him. He might have tried something with us and the players couldn't react etc

Now, this is my fault. As I am sure I saw a rumour last season that Eze's release clause expires one week before the window shuts and only opens up again one week after the window opens.
Then I posted it on here ages ago, but it's not a given, it was just a rumour.
If true, and that's a big if, then I assume it's so Palace can get in a replacement before the window shuts. But that in itself is a guess.
Now, should that all be true and Arsenal have agreed terms, this means Palace have accepted the offer and now Arsenal are just waiting to offload some players to please FFP. Even if they are late and it expires, I suspect Palace will honour the deal as otherwise Eze will be pissed and also they now have had time to scope out and agree terms with a replacement. Another load of big IF's.
A way to keep the rumour going is to look out for any other rumours of Palace looking to source a replacement for Eze? Where are those Palace signing rumours? I have not seen them. So, I assume it's all clickbait until Norrey gets his £13m :P |  |

I think they said on Sky Sports News that £20m would be the difference between winning the Europa Conference instead of winning the Europa League.
Personally, I don't think Palace would have come close to winning the Europa League, but they may have a chance of winning the Conference. If that is the case, they possibly will have gained financially. | | | |

This boo boy guy gets around.
For about two or three seasons, I sat in Ellerslie Road near the centre circle, one row from the back.
This very large chap, was there with his two mates and every time in every game, he used to rant about Eze being lazy, almost to the point of having a vendetta.
I never said anything at the time, but looking back, should have done.
Had a couple near me that ranted about Les being the laziest player on this earth and a few even after his season, having a right go at Adel.
And it was always people that potentially you could throw the comment - "who ate all the pies" probably not allowed to say that now - but that's for another day.
It's good he has always had his head screwed on regards social media and random comments and it's always advisable for players to not always take to heart or even view anything at all online by random, including all of us on the forums too.
We all speaking from a place of not knowing the full stories.
Should think though that most players are advised, just dont read it, but am sure many do.
If, I had been I their shoes, I think curiosity would win over being sensible. I would probably have read everything when I was in my early 20s and would undoubtedly have been affected by some comments. Hard not to be, I would think.
But this guy, he so chilled, just laughing about it. Great attitude. Was always going to succeed. |  |

I think it was the first or second season back in the premier league and we were losing 2-0 at half time to West Ham. Game kicks back off and he’s ranting about how useless and shite we are. He then says that Taarabt is a waste of space and we should yank him off and get rid. I turned round and told him Taarabt was still on the bench and hadn’t been playing. A couple minutes later Taarabt comes on scores almost immediately. Guy barely celebrated the goal.
