Eze 09:08 - Apr 16 with 100142 views | sdm1508 | I was just wondering what people's thoughts are on him since he moved to palace. Do you think he has improved as a player and if so what areas of his game have got better since he was with us or having better players around him helped? I mean having better players around him allows for more things to actually come off for him. He might have tried something with us and the players couldn't react etc I was watching him in a game the other night and it just seems to be his consistency. His base level now seems to be a notch or two up. He doesn't have to do something amazing to effect the game

Eze on 08:28 - Aug 17 by BazzaInTheLoft | Is anyone else happy with the squad and happy to sit on the money? |
I think after seeing Madsen and Field again yesterday, that clearly doesnt work. I hope the rumors of Tim Iroegbunam on loan are true. Someone fit and able to carry the ball forward is exactly what we are missing. Then an old head to cover Esquedinha would be wise, as Mbengue just couldnt do it yesterday unfortunately.

It's a fair question - think we need another CM definitely, and the right player could make a big difference there. Ideally a LB too but I also think we should let Esquerdina develop, so no big money-blurt on that one.

Eze on 07:21 - Aug 17 by Harbour | From the fans forum sounds like any money from Eze goes against loss the owners are covering each month..sounds unlikely any of it going towards new signings. |
Wow, thanks. I wasn't aware of that being the proposed course of action once Ebs is sold by Palace.

Not seen Tim Iroegbunam rumours but he would be an interesting one. Would he want to come back though?

I hope those rumours stay rumours. Never rated Tim and I’m sure he’d see us as a huge step down now and contribute even less. Madsen has to go. We might get a few quid for him, around £250k maybe, and I’d certainly look to get someone in there. The Eze money would’ve been well spent on that O’Brien who went to Wrexham. I’m okay with Esquey at LB but we do need cover there. Spend wisely

Therein lies the rub: Spend wisely. Later today we'll get a good indication of what's potentially going to happen with Eze if he's named in the Palace squad or not. I hope, and no doubt expect, the Rangers to have a shopping list of players weighted for eventualities: if no cash comes in; some cash comes in from moving on and/or winning the Eze lottery. This site's exhausted itself discussing the two weak spots ( CM and LB). However, given how unreliable JCS is; how shot Cook looks; Morrison is not beyond injury issues; and the Aberdeen lad isn't ready yet, I'd be tempted to get a CH in as well. Come on Levy get your effing chequebook out and treat yourself!

I'd have him back if, and it's a big if, Everton let us stick wing mirrors on him.

That was not how I interpreted it. He made it clear that we were not spending the Eze money in advance of him being sold. Which is clearly the right thing to do given the uncertainty. It would also be foolish to say something along the lines of ‘once we raise £10m from Eze, we’ll spend that’ as every negotiation thereafter becomes more expensive. We need a DCM and a LB and the squad will look pretty good to me

Me too. Never got the love. Drifted in and out of matches and didn't want to do the dirty work. One fancy dribble a match does not a midfielder make IMO. Agree with your other points too. What's going on? Have you changed or have I ??? Mystery.

100% this. Who in their right mind would flag we have money available so inflate any potential targets price.

Another one here. Couldn't stand Iroegbunam while he was here, yet another puppy farm player who thought he was far better than he actually is

It was a dirty deal between Villa and Everton which saw two players swap over for vastly inflated prices. Can't remember who went the other way

Lewis Dobbin. £10m. Yet to play a single minute for them. One start on loan at West Brom, eight on loan at Norwich last year. Stinks.
Eze on 13:06 - Aug 17 with 647 views | Beejnewark | A question re: the sell on clause - if the calculations are based on us having already received 20m, has he already met the previous add-on criteria? If not, surely that'll be considered in the sell on amount?

Everything about football stinks. From top to bottom. We still go regardless. Week in week out. Hopefully its thread will die on its arse . Once he’s sold. Hard to believe he left years ago and he’s still our most valuable asset .
