Eze 09:08 - Apr 16 with 148673 views | sdm1508 | I was just wondering what people's thoughts are on him since he moved to palace. Do you think he has improved as a player and if so what areas of his game have got better since he was with us or having better players around him helped? I mean having better players around him allows for more things to actually come off for him. He might have tried something with us and the players couldn't react etc I was watching him in a game the other night and it just seems to be his consistency. His base level now seems to be a notch or two up. He doesn't have to do something amazing to effect the game

Eze on 22:23 - Aug 4 by PlanetHonneywood | I think Bayern paid £90m for Kane, who was at least 30-odd years of age and slowing appreciably. Admittedly, they didn't want to pay that much, but Levy just kept squeezing their testicles until they had no choice. So £68.5m for a 'kin Rolls Royce of a player isn't so much a bargain but highway robbery carried out in broad daylight! FFS, would someone just sign the overpriced, hopeless at defending, ageing ex-QPR prick so we can all get on with our lives!!!! |
Harry Kane will have a few years left and is a proven goal scorer over a long period of time and easily the highest goalscorer England has ever known. The fact is he has a pedigree way superior to Ezes and his end product has been outstanding over many years. Eze has played well some seasons and gone missing to a certain extent on others and hasnt played european football and has only a handful of international caps. So personally even though i love Eze and the player he is, i would say the fee for Kane is fair in comparison to that of Eze. I think £50 million is fair for Eze, and the release clause fee has put teams off signing Ebere... [Post edited 5 Aug 16:23]

Eze on 18:40 - Aug 5 with 5159 views | Loft1979 | Eze: I think Eze has risen nicely, and his value matches his status. Its just where does he fit. To me, I see him slotting in as a direct replacement for Luis Diaz. Arsenal really do not have a need for Eze.
Eze on 18:47 - Aug 5 with 5097 views | Monkey_Roots | I like the idea of Ebs going to Spurs and become the main man. Trouble is, by the time Levy is finished with Palace, they’ll owe him money. [Post edited 5 Aug 18:47]

Eze on 22:33 - Aug 5 with 4716 views | Myke | Press now saying Arsenal won't sign Eze until they sell several fringe players and they don't expect the deal to go through until late in the window. Just our luck.
Eze on 08:58 - Aug 6 with 4405 views | SW_Ranger | Thought I read that Eze’s release clause ends in next few weeks. Not sure how true that is. Could be why Arsenal waiting for right moment to make offer. See the Parlases are looking for £40m for Geuhi after previous year offers of £60m+. Why they’re worrying about Eze structure deal is beyond me if they’re prepared to pi$$ up £20m+

Yes, I thought that too yesterday when i read Maddison was injured. They also need to replace Son, so having just read about Maddison having an ACL injury think they will be making a bid for Eze within the next few days. Here's hoping they do,because QPR need the money to add much needed players to the squad.
Eze on 16:21 - Aug 7 with 3172 views | numptydumpty | Clutching at straws, i know, but Arsenal have assigned the names to numbers of 27 current squad members. Currently number 10 is unassigned...

Eze on 11:52 - Aug 10 with 2557 views | rbee | An update this morning from The Evening Standard. I read elsewhere that Eb's release clause has expired. Arsenal's pursuit of Eberechi Eze may have been handed a huge boost with Al Ahli completing the signing of Enzo Millot from Stuttgart. As announced by Al Ahli and the Bundesliga outfit on Saturday, Millot has signed a three-year deal with the Saudi Pro League club. His departure leaves Stuttgart in the market for a replacement and Standard Sport reported earlier in the week that they have held talks with Arsenal over a deal for Fabio Vieira, which could see the midfielder leave Emirates Stadium permanently. It has been widely reported that the Gunners would make a move for Eze once they have sold the Portuguese playmaker. This may soon become a reality as Stuttgart can now accelerate plans to sign Vieira with the funds brought in from Millot’s sale to Al Ahli.

Was with a Palace fan last weekend Apparently Arsenal want the deal to be structured payments rather than up front lump sum which the release clause refs to. Madness that they’d prefer to possibly have to pay more for phased payments but I suppose there’s always a chance they could get him for less than the £68mill Hopefully other clubs remain interested and a bidding war occurs this week The funds will land too late for us and we’ll be looking forward to 20 odd non appearances by Celar

Yeah, CN did say that. Perhaps it would depend on how much we'd get as there's little clarity on that. If it was at the upper end of what's possible, say £13m, and we got the cash well before the window closes, you'd think there might be some spending to fill one or two of our weaker positions.
Eze on 12:27 - Aug 10 with 2339 views | numptydumpty | https://www.teamtalk.com/arsenal/eberechi-eze-arsenal-crystal-palace-deal-agreed Seems both Arsenal and Spurs want Eze. Arsenal waiting until August 15th, ie this Friday coming, when release clause is removed, whereas Tottenham happy to pay more and up front. Eze has agreed personal terms with Arsenal but the only hold up now with regards to Eze going to North London, is if Palace can't source an adequate replacement. Maybe, if we have word he will almost certainly be sold after August 15, transfers for left back, centre mid and striker are all on hold until we know one way or the other. Appreciate we are unlikely to spend all the monies with the new strategies, but it will help possibly bringing in more potentially higher quality additions to the squad, or not, as the case may be... Ie we seem to be better at picking up bargains as opposed to the expensive flops, which we seem to be quite proficient at bringing in....

No doubt I'm missing something, but what has the release clause got to do with it? Palace aren't obliged to accept any less once it's expired, but they could demand more. [Post edited 10 Aug 18:35]

If Eze has agreed personal terms, which apparently he has with Arsenal, i believe that would mean a transfer could go ahead and obviously would not have a minimum value, when the transfer is not possible because of the release clause not being activated. Am sure someone on here, may be able to explain details, or disprove my thinking !!

If the release clause has expired, Palace do not have to sell for any amount. It's now entirely Palace's decision whether to sell or retain him, regardless of any personal terms Eze may have agreed with Arsenal. Eze is under contract with Palace until 2027.

I believe the release clause means Palace HAVE to let him go if it’s met and Eze wants to go. After that, it’s up to all parties involved to agree and I guess it could be more as Kensal says.

Bumped into Palace fan on his way to WEmbley. He thinks the sell on clause/release clause finishes soon and that Eze wont leave!!! Talkshite also said the same this afternoon

Eze on 20:00 - Aug 10 with 1342 views | Rsole | There was talk of waiting until the UEFA cup appeal was completed, which I think may well be due tomorrow. The type of European football he plays won’t be the only difference but it may well add to Palace’s hand in negotiation, given the financial upside (of going back into the competition they qualified for !).
