I was just wondering what people's thoughts are on him since he moved to palace. Do you think he has improved as a player and if so what areas of his game have got better since he was with us or having better players around him helped? I mean having better players around him allows for more things to actually come off for him. He might have tried something with us and the players couldn't react etc
I was watching him in a game the other night and it just seems to be his consistency. His base level now seems to be a notch or two up. He doesn't have to do something amazing to effect the game |  | | |  |

Well unless Hoos has been leading Clive on, it's 20% of the sale price. So £60 million brings in £12m, £68m would bring in £13.6m.
The lower figure increases our FFP allowable by £4m a year for three years.

Says the £60 million release clause is not relevant as from midnight today ie end of Friday 1st August.
Says all personal terms agreed with Arsenal but they likely to pay £55 million maximum.

Was it ever spelt out in that degree of detail, or was it more vague eg “we get 20% from a sale”? A percentage of the uplift would make more logical sense, and would be surprised if Palace would have agreed to 20%! of the whole, but obvs I hope you are right. | | | |

It has definitely been reconfirmed as 20% in the years since he left these shores. It feels like this is the summer or never for us getting a huge amount of money for him - and that only strengthens our hand with future transfers on such as Varane, Poku, Dembele and the various CBs if all goes to plan with their development. |  | | |

IIRC it was Newcastle. They offered 20m but Palace only offered 16m. As Eze wanted to go to Palace the 20% sell-on was agreed to mitigate the lower fee. |  |
