Are you mad.... don't you appreciate his immense determination and an infectious drive? I do. I liked him from his debut. His movement in the box was on a different planet to Dykes (mind you.... so is mine) but he is a man you'd want with you in the trenches. The fella can finish and will not be bullied. Okay... we'd all like to see him as an ever present and never injured. He get's stick for not having pace but he's more mobile than people give him credit. I'd love a pacey, brave, no nonsense striker who scores every game but those days are gone. Nice one Michi.... see you next season

Just think with the budget the club has to work with, you can't afford someone who can't play 90 minutes let alone 2 games a week. He tries hard, I give him that.

Yes but, is he a victim of the club's wonderful hands-on fitness regime ?
Michi Frey contract? on 22:44 - May 16 with 3014 views | stainrods_elbow | Frey's joined us about a year and a half ago, and has managed around 30 apps in that time (8 goals). For comparison Cook, depsite the anxieties about his appearance record/injury, came in 4 months earlier, but has played more than twice as many games. For me, Cook deserves his new contract, a lot less sure of the Unicorn, unless we want anothe relegation struggle and chronic goalscoring problem. Frey can put himself a bit when he's properly fit, but he's a really mixed bag when it comes to touch, technique and goal prowess. [Post edited 16 May 22:46]

Michi Frey contract ✅ on 22:46 - May 16 with 3054 views | Northernr | Frey as your third striker in an effective group of four is a really good option. Frey as your first striker in a group of one is a problem, as we've seen this season.

I do agree Ned. He is a real handful at times . Needs to do it more away from home …Ala Luton. My worry is he had the mother of all pre seasons last year . Took himself away and got in absolute mint condition during the summer then had a full pre season and you could see the difference when the season was underway. However by Jan / Feb he played 1 missed 3 . Had to play the full 90 mins against Leeds, put in a hell of a shift admittedly , collapsed at the final whistle…missing for a month. Maybe he’s too heavy set and injuries do tend to come to those caring more muscle . But that’s 2 contract extension to 2 players who might not play too often . It’s a tricky one . Ultimately I think they are the right decisions but it’s risky , especially with JCS and Morrisons injuries records and Celar vanished into thin air . We certainly need some athletes added to this lot

Probably because he is our most effective striker in the every other game he does play

I get where you're coming from but, if the extension was triggered by a clause in the contract, this might have been on the cards for a while. He's certainly got his limits but he's got his uses too, leading the line and I like the way he drags defenders out of position. He cops some stick, though not as much as, say, Fox or Paal, and nowhere near as much as Madsen. I think that's because people appreciate his attitude and sheer bloody mindedness on the field. The surprising fact that he is our top scorer (couldn't quite believe it myself) says more about the team as a whole than just his contribution. I mean, Illy was our top scorer last season he he scored less than Frey this time out! Another year? Fair enough - I'm not unhappy with that. Extending further? I'd hope we would have a better option by then.

Michi Frey contract ✅ on 01:04 - May 17 with 2513 views | numptydumpty | What i like about him is that he is a complete and total nut job in a scary very positive way. He is a hard man who can put himself about and be a presence. He's got heart and passion and with him in your team, you know the opposition defenders will know they have been in a battle. He is the best in our squad at hold up play. He gives it his all. His control is actually better than it appears also. Two years max for me

Amen. But where are the 2 that get in ahead of the unicorn?

This season for me he has been The number one striker.

Michi Frey contract ✅ on 07:06 - May 17 with 2081 views | Paddyhoops | 9 goals in a stop start season . Not a bad return . Limited but I like him . Celar , kelman, frey and Kolli next season so can’t see us bringing in any strikers.
Michi Frey contract ✅ on 07:10 - May 17 with 2062 views | Rsole | Maybe he will come back with a new tattoo - that will hopefully be the final ‘add-on.’

Michi Frey contract ✅ on 07:26 - May 17 with 2011 views | cpgerber | It is a sensible extension. Given what we have, at least secure him as a decent option. Kolli, Lloyd and Celar all still question marks around them. Hopefully Kelman comes in and does a job for us, but just too many uncertainties to let the top scorer go.
Michi Frey contract ✅ on 07:39 - May 17 with 1953 views | dmm | The lack of any info on Celar is concerning. I heard a whisper that he doesn't want to be at QPR but I've no idea if it's true or not.

This is my concern too. They’ve all got their strengths but their limitations are manifest and it’d be a scandal if we try to go with these alone once again.
