It's up for sale for almost £17m and is as tasteless as you would expect it to be.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

I presume it has its own parking space?

Yes, they are all marked up as disabled bays and he parks length ways across all of them.

Not so much a home as a mausoleum.

It looks like somewhere a Russian oligarch would live. Friends of mine stayed in a high end hotel in Sri Lanka just after hotels popular with westerners had been targeted in terrorist attacks, and because of cancellations, they were the only guests staying there. They said it was very weird and uncomfortable having all the facilities to themselves, eating breakfast alone in a massive dining room etc. It must be like that living in a house like that, moving from one cavernous, black and gold room to the next. Imagine forgetting where you've left your keys and walking round for four hours trying to find them.

Fulham FC: It's the taking part that counts

Not bad considering he is the son of a thief........

Amazing what being able to head a few balls away can get you nowadays.

No wonder so many footballers go bust within years of retirement though. Easy place to buy and own when you're raking in £150k+ every week but somewhere like that is going to be very expensive to maintain when you're not playing anymore and your earning power has collapsed through the floor, unless you are one of a very lucky few to make it at top level coaching.

Even if he invested lots of money wisely I'm not convinced he'd have enough coming in to keep that place running post-retirement. And he doesn't strike me as the most intelligent to have an investment fund keeping him going. Easy £100k+ per annum to maintain that place, probably way more.

How can you spend that much money building a property and it still looks chavy as hell? #livelaughlove

I will try the opposite approach that is simply an incredible house on a beautiful piece of property regardless of who ownes it.
Yes its cavernous and not exactly homely in that used farmhouse way but I am blown away with the interior and what about that lower lever movie room, bar ,soccer field etc.
If anybody else but John Terry owned it would every poster on this page so far hate it or just bemoan the gap between the rich and the rest of us regular folk .
The gap is widening not getting narrow btw

Agree.

Take the travesty of the indoor pitch out of the equation and that is a quality bit of Hi-end Resi work there.

The one thing I never get with those sort of jobs though is the bedrooms being so cavernous. It just doesn't work a lot of the time.

£17mill........ I'll take two

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

As others have said, that's not a home. Utterly souless.

Even if I won the lottery I want a 'home' not a 'house'.

Indoor football pitch with seats made me laugh. Obviously it would have to be changed to hoops.

Hmmm.

Judging by the pictures, he's already packed up his collection of Joseph Conrad novels, ditto his colouring books.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Interesting thread. But 99% sure this is NOT John Terry's house. This is in Bromley, he lives in Surrey (near Wentworth I believe) and a lot closer to Cobham...

I grew up there (Oxshott) in the 60/70/80s. I took the dog for a walk around the two paper-rounds i used to do back then, a couple of years ago. Every house on my rounds (including Terry's plot which was about 5 good sized houses back then), every piece of land replaced by stuff like this. concrete lions out front, aggessive 'keep them out' iron security gates...it was soulless and sad. Even the brilliant local pub back then (The Vic) which was very well run as a proper village pub, with all walks of life mixing easily, by an east-end gangster-sort-come-good is now a Raymond Blanc travesty. The Cobham training ground has a lot to answer for. It's an additional reason (none needed) why hate the scum.

It’s in locksbottom (Bromley), not oxshott (Surrey).

£17 million. There is zero furniture and there is no sign of life within. It's an empty cave and looks like no one lives there, let alone visits. To me it's a hotel in the construction stage.

Nothing homely or inviting at all about it in anyways !!

100% not a family home....

Regardless of where it is it’s awful especially with the football club badging!

If I were to win the big lottery, I’d want somewhere with character ((c) every estate agent) and probably older. Something like an equestrian set up not because I want horses but all those stables and barns would be a great place for what would become a decent motorbike and car collection!
