It's a damning indictment of how the club is currently being run that they have given no reason for this decision or the gardening leave decision. Total contempt for the fans. Hopefully Nourry will follow MC out the door sooner rather than later.

Best we’ve played in ten years . Quality game of football which we should have won .

I have a question, i have switched off from Rangers for most of this summer, so maybe I have missed something.

Has there been concrete proof that Marti was courting other clubs?

Even if he was, why is everyone seeing this as a big deal, they nearly sacked him in November, course he's going to be keeping an eye out.

Anyway, wish him all the best. Loved the bloke, thought he was excellent and we failed to look after him and manage his personality correctly.

Welcome back Mark

It’s been argued Ad Nauseum on here and no one really has proof of anything and those that do can’t share it on a public forum for obvious reasons .
Ridiculous, petulant and egocentric .
Whether ultimately it was the right decision we’ll know in the next 6 months .

But…..time to move on .
Will be behind Stephan, like I was Marti, and Gareth etc etc .

For those asking about Xavi.

He went out with the players for drinks the day after the Sunderland game .
Went into the training ground early Monday morning , said his goodbyes to staff and went straight to the airport to catch a flight to Barcelona .

In short , he couldn’t get home quick enough.

So disappointing, Marti was great for us when we needed it most.

I really hope the new guy does really well, but as CEO of the club, this is entirely on Nourry, he's had to pay off a sellable asset due to his ego, Reuben and the Board will have agreed it, but will have heard Nourry explain why his masterplan is the right one, as their CEO, they had to back him....lets see if it is

Thanks for sharing that, mart. I've never thought Calm would stay/be retained. It would be very strange if he did/was.

Nourry has staked his career on the success of the next manager. Regardless of a handful of loud voices and sock puppets on social media, he's burned through a tremendous amount of goodwill.

Totally agree. Verbose Nourry reduced to being terse, mean-spirited and grudging towards MC and his tenure at this club, which has ended prematurely. Without him at the helm during the last two seasons, we would have been relegated.

He wasn't perfect but in spite of operating, especially last season, with a poorly assembled and unbalanced squad alongside the absence of a Head of Performance on-site, he still managed to achieve.

Dignified to the last, the sincerity in MC's parting tweet is in stark contrast to that posted by Nourry.

Liked him, miss him. First manager for a long time who actually bothered studying the opponents to figure out possible weaknesses to gran a win with this errorprone team. Never been sacked before, now replaced with one that has been sacked from his two last jobs after short spels. Hope for the best!

Let's hope it goes well though, and get behind it. Stephan is an exciting appointment, certainly one we'd have been jumping about celebrating a few years ago. And we want it to work. We want to do well! I hope to God he's got this right.

Echo what most have said.

Without him we currently would be looking at mid table league one next season.

He achieved a miracle saving the Ainsworth debacle from relegation. Then for me was unlucky with injuries and took the brunt of a transfer policy of bedding in nearly all new players from around the globe and new to this country and this league.

And still had us just under mid table.

The new guy is a shot in the dark, his bio reads as no better than Marti, so its a chancer's return for Nourry.

Hope it goes well.

But like others, its an abiding sadness that we have not kept on one of our best assets in recent seasons.

I feel a bit like the fall out after Warburton was released.

I personally would not have got rid of either, but then I am just a forum poster. I hope it works out for us of course but I do wish Marti very well and if he comes back here with a new club, I personally will stand up and applaud.

He did a decent job and deserved better.

Its a very sparse write up by Nourry, unlike the gleaming references he writes for young kids being brought in from wherever. And shows there must have been tension, because the send off piece is not very nice.

Bon voyage Marti.

Godspeed.

We absolutely do. And Stephan is undoubtedly a very good manager. But there are good managers and there are good QPR managers. Not often the same thing. I feel we're saying goodbye needlessly early to a good QPR manager.

I hope Marti gets a great job soon, does really well there and that we never play one of his teams.

Am excited about the new manager too, it's a great appointment in theory - but something about the karma feels risky.

With the Stevenage game just over a week away expect Stephan to be announced sooner rather than later

Marti going, the way it was done still.leaves a bitter taste somewhat, but in a battle between him and Nourry, there was only ever going to be one winner, and it wasn't going to be Marti

Whatever we think of Nourry, I get the feeling there is not the same animosity within the club for him. Dunne and Field signing new contracts, doesn't shout of discord, the opposite in fact.

Marti really was a personable guy, but in a few years will we look back on his tenure as the purple patch we think it was. We never really improved, we still had moments of great heights, and horrendous troughs, and Marti couldn't break that.

In the last 10 years we have stagnated into a lower championship team, and Marti couldn't break that. Whether he was given enough time, is debatable, obviously the powers to be thought he couldn't

I wish the guy all the very best, as I wish the same for the new guy. And in 2 years, perhaps less, maybe more, we will wish him the best.

Managers do come and go it is us that remain. As we always will do

I cannot believe anybody that watched Ainsworth's QPR, Critchley's QPR, the latter days of Beale, even the latter days of Warburton, can say with a straight face we did not improve. At one stage during that we won six of 46 games. Just lucky we did it over a calendar year, not a football one.

I remember going to Middlesbrough watching Critchley play 4-4-2 with Sam Field right wing.

I think this might be a legal thing or part of the agreement between the club and Marti. Let's say maybe both parties are to blame and Marti did go look elsewhere. He might nit want that in the public domain. I reckon though more just a case agreed between all parties and not just a club decision
