Marti’s gone to Leicester now, you are safe here.

No chance, he hates everything every manager says.

Kolli is injured.

Thanks for that. I.don’t know what why the club could not have posted an update on his injury status.

QPR will need to sign another striker irrespective of whether Kelman stays or leaves, because it is clear to many of us that Celar is unable to motivate himself to try when he is a lone striker.

Nope, that was Bennie in the brace and on crutches, not Kolli.

Yes, you are correct as I was there that night and Kolli didn’t play in the final.

At least the DS squad beat Chelmsford 2:0

I thought the DS squad was playing the 1st half of the Castellon match this morning 😀

OK, the manager had a bit of a play, and we got dicked.
But this was a 'behind closed doors' friendly for a reason.
The manager needs room to experiment. It's hard for them - in the past we'd probably have known f.a about this, but the commodification of everybloodything, and I totally get why they stream games like this to bring in some money, means we have a social media tizzy, and needless pressure put on the players and management.
Relax.

While I'm on one, Celar not looking really on it as he plays himself back to fitness in a behind closed doors friendly after a serious injury is really not that surprising .

One of the disadvantages of changing manager is he’s going to have to learn stuff about us that Cifuentes learned over a couple of years and we all know…

1 - I know passing out from the back is trendy and game model and develops players to sell, but we don’t have the players to do it. We get caught out every time. On our budget we can’t afford players who are capable of doing that. It’s why Ronnie Edwards looked like a fcking God in our team.

2 - every time we try and play 2 central midfielders we get out numbered, out fought, swamped. You have to stodge that bit of the pitch up with 3, and with some legs, and with some hard nosed experience or we get walked through. If Colback isn’t sticking around he’s going to need replacing, he’s important to us.

We say it all the time on here but in this league, in our situation, on our budget, you need to be pragmatic. If we think we’re doing this season with 2 in central midfield, Larkeche at LB and Adamson on the right we’ll get destroyed.

I know I keep banging on about this but our best period of the season in terms of results was 23rd November to 25th January when Colback was either injured or playing only a few minutes. We got 2.15 PPG for those matches (28 points in 13 matches) and 1.22 PPG for the season as a whole. Admittedly we had some easier fixtures then but he really didn't save the day last season. I wholeheartedly agree we need 3 in midfield though and we need a (better) replacement for him.

It would be interesting to the ages of our team since recent seasons have had a theme of playing 14-16 y/o at the U18 level.

The grass is always greener.

Dave McIntyre says Nourry took the steps needed to protect the club and ensure we get compensation. And now with the Leicester deal that's proving true it seems

But you are presenting things as if Marti was realistically going to be here next season and criticising Nourry for him now being at Leicester. So can you fill us in on what it is makes you so confident that Dave McIntyre is wrong?

A bit OTT on here. Think we'd lost the first game of the season.

Playing his way back to what? He has had one good half for us ever. He isn't a Championship level player.

I’d lay odds the money being used for the Leicester deal is some of the money we paid for marti to leave by the back door. So not exactly a saving to the club as we should have lost anything atall if it had been handled by an adult at the time . But hey nourry is cooking I hear . So all is good in the world . Can see why the fans forum is being held early though ,

What time willl he announce the. Saito deal as going through out of interest ?

Yes, I think you're right, Essox. With a few of the DS squad in Spain, it would seem that a some of the U 18s would have played in the DS fixture and therefore we would have fielded a very young team in the U18 game.

I don't like bullshit, or being taken for a mug - which is probably a problem for me when it comes to watching professional football. I guess you have lower standards.

Maybe try to grow up a little in pre-season, cultivate a little empathy, and think about passion can make a man grumpy?

This has absolutely no relevance to the post it’s replying to at all. Laughably so in fact.

The playing out from the back and two man midfield issues have been present here for years, under several managers. Stephan will come to learn it like many of his predecessors.

OK, but you have to give Nourry credit for getting Cifuentes the Leicester gig.

The new manager (coach) is under instructions who to play and when to play them. Same as the old manager (coach). It’s one of the reasons marti is not here anymore.

As an example. Cook played so much last year, that he triggered an auto-extension. That would not have happened if it were up to “the club”. That was Marti.

So if you are wondering why Bennie is selected at RB (he played there for Oz u20s) or why dev squad members have been called up to the first team squad tour, or why Kolli was ostracised early last season, it is “the club”.

This will never be Julian Stephans side. It is the clubs side, coached by Stephan.

Did you read the post that you replied to or just jump directly to your agenda ?

The original had nothing to do with your reply.

Given the subject of the thread, would you care to comment on the risible performance of both teams - 1st and 2nd half ?

Perhaps there’s a way you can turn that comedy own goal into a positive or persuade everyone that the system and some players will come good one day.

As the nominated ‘voice’ of the month, I think we’d prefer to hear the official line on those subjects rather than read an unrelated comment that’s clearly been constructed and made completely out of context.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

I think his ongoing desperation to try and two foot me perhaps shone through a little bit there. It always does in the end.
