Rumour going round according to my mate is Dunne out until mid-December and Larkeche out with a torn ACL. If those are true (or even close) then - barring emergency loans - I think it'll be dev squad tomorrow.

Given that several substitutions yesterday were to do with "load management" and overall we looked lacking in fitness, I think it's guaranteed they're going to use it as another opportunity to get minutes into some players. Winning this particular football match is secondary. |
Players are usually still catching up on their match fitness throughout August, so I would take the players that played on Saturday, baring any that might be carrying knocks, and add Pearman, Tuck and Talla.
Nardi can start in goal, Burrell , Bennie & Kolli in place of Celar, Madsen & Poku (Dembele) if injured. Adamson maybe can replace Morgan at rightback , but otherwise I would like to see a strong as can be starting 11 because :
1. a cup run is good for morale

Myke, WLS just said there will be young players in the squad. Just like the Preston game we had Esquerdinha, Morgan, Kolli, Bennie, Sutton, Mccann in the squad. There is no difference and you could quite literally copy and paste.

I understand the call for wins and a cup run, but we'd all be fuming if he started a strong side and they all ended up crocked. I'd be happy with a mix of younger players and a few older ones (e.g. Nardi, Cook) if it means we have a team fit for the weekend against Watford.

If Larkeche injured his acl it was in training. Frey and Verane were due to join the squad on tour , but got injured in training. Poku went off injured against Preston, so why throw the cup game? | | | |
