Clearly this is our year....

Well likely half the team that won the Premier League Cup will be involved here, so the cup pedigree is there !!!

Probably as Plymouth also stated they likely to field a second team, this could be seen as no more than a preseason friendly...

I have no idea as to the result, performance or team, but am not too hopeful.

Saying that Plymouth have lost almost all their top players, but its a cup game

Random from me.

Plymouth 2 QPR 2
We progress 3- 1 on penalties (Chloe Kelly strikes the winner)

In fairness, Kolli has also been thrown out there to make a point

What point? Is it the one Burrell is pointing at?

The league is so much more important than this cup hence no complaing from me.

On the flipside, one of the most memorable season in ages is when we went on that mini cup run and very unfairly lost to Sunderland.

I thought well, at least Smyth is playing.... nope.

Smyth said in the club shop Saturday he hopes to be ready for Watford.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

That line up either master stroke or a disaster….not sure which fingers crossed it works.

Nourry was very clear and honest with us last week. He doesn’t pick the team. It is down to the coach. Stephan must have watched a lot of our youth games from last year to know which players to pick for this game. Feel for our fans.

If you honestly think that Stephan in his second game in charge, desperately wanting to get a win under his belt decided on his own "fcuk it, I'm sending a team of kids out there" then I think you are misguided. That team has CN all over it. Feel for our fans, feel for some of those players who I very much doubt are ready to step up to that level. I would have been fine with a mix of first-teamers and DS but, bar Nardi, Vale and Burrell, that team (and the bench) are lambs to the slaughter.

I just don't get why they're doing this. Hopefully Stephan will explain in his post match interview but I can't help feel Nourry is behind it.

Almost certain this will be a club decision and not Stephan's. One that I agree with given our current injury problems and our propensity to collect more injured players. I would put Championship survival above a cup run.

I am convinced that the Profit and Sustainability rules will change in our favour before too long, the talk of The Championship becoming Premier League 2 is increasing. When this happens we can give cup games the respect that they deserve.

What I really don't get is why so many DS players miss out, especially those who were given squad numbers last week?

Plymouth are also threadbare for this game - loads of kids and 2 GK on the bench.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

Slight gripe incoming ….I’d imagine our CEO is nigh on aroused at this point .

And remember the young debuts being made tonight . You won’t need to.
They will be thrown up as ‘propaganda’ and ‘pathways’ blah blah for the rest of his tenure .

Ok , finished .

Good luck to the lads tonight . Go and enjoy yourself , relax and play your football .

Do us proud lads . Big night for all of them really

Right - because you 'can't help feel' it, it must be true. How 21C! It's not like we've been tossing off Cup games for years, under any number of managers and CEOs, obviously!

I’ve not seen any sign of Jack McDowell who was terrific in the Cup final. The signings of Akindileni and Smith seem to have pushed him right out of contention….unless he’s injured!!

Different opinions.

Obviously the thought of more injuries and Division 1 football doesn't concern you as much as it does me.

He’s had no pre season so needs to get up to match speed. So selection makes a lot of sense. From the first team Vale and Burrell also in the mix

Must say I am somewhat shocked at this team sheet.. as I don't even know who half of the players are.. .. assuming Nardi must be captain? If it starts badly, not even any experience to bring on from the bench.

That team selection for a competitive cup match, in the only cup competition we've ever won, since being formed in 1886, screams out, TINPOT.

I just hope Plymouth pick as weak a team.

If they don't, and we get spanked, every single fan there supporting us, should be compensated.
