Nourry was very clear and honest with us last week. He doesn’t pick the team. It is down to the coach. Stephan must have watched a lot of our youth games from last year to know which players to pick for this game. Feel for our fans. |
If you honestly think that Stephan in his second game in charge, desperately wanting to get a win under his belt decided on his own "fcuk it, I'm sending a team of kids out there" then I think you are misguided. That team has CN all over it. Feel for our fans, feel for some of those players who I very much doubt are ready to step up to that level. I would have been fine with a mix of first-teamers and DS but, bar Nardi, Vale and Burrell, that team (and the bench) are lambs to the slaughter. [Post edited 12 Aug 19:17]

Almost certain this will be a club decision and not Stephan's. One that I agree with given our current injury problems and our propensity to collect more injured players. I would put Championship survival above a cup run.
I am convinced that the Profit and Sustainability rules will change in our favour before too long, the talk of The Championship becoming Premier League 2 is increasing. When this happens we can give cup games the respect that they deserve. |  | | |
