Ryder Cup Thread on 23:13 - Sep 28 with 1358 views | Nov77 | You wouldn’t think it was possible to win the Ryder cup with only one win in the singles on Sunday. Glad we got the extra half at the end as the yanks would have said we only won because of the extra half point due to to the neck injury to Hovland.

Ryder Cup Thread on 22:40 - Sep 28 by ted_hendrix | Lowry's celebration was just brilliant an explosion of emotions. |
That was so funny having nobody to hug except his caddie and wife normally half the team is sprinting on and jumping on the pile up. Rahm did give him a massive hug and that was pretty sweet ending. I think the players that played all 5 matches were physically and mentally beat down from all the abuse and stress of the first 2 days and Europe should avoid that at Adare Manor. It was revealed that Erica McIlroy got hit in the head with a can of beer on Saturday which is assault btw and subjected to savage abuse that can never be allowed again. The US team have higher rankings, are better at singles and got on a massive roll backed by the baying mob we were lucky to pull that win out .Makes it even sweeter though a beautiful Sunday night
Ryder Cup Thread on 03:07 - Sep 29 with 963 views | FredManRave | I started the day not overly bothered, thinking it would be over early and I could enjoy watching the highlights later in the day. So, I went to my local club, played football with my son, whilst following events on BBC text. An early 5 blue lead made me realise the prudence of my decision and then the updates kept coming thick and red! Still went to the gym only slightly concerned, but half an hour later had to say to my son, right, let's go, it's going off. So, glad I made it back home in time to watch an incredible sporting spectacle. Nobody can deny the amazing effort that the US put into the last day and the results they achieved and it's worthy of acknowledgement (not sure the U.S.A. fans would recognise this if we did the same) and what started out as a formality ended up being an edge of seat scenario. So pleased for Lowry after the 2nd most amount of stick taken this week and that thunder dance on the 18th will live long and be repeated for years to come. But to think if Henley had made his putt on the 18th... Sport at its best.

Don't think it has. This would have been the biggest ever comeback by some distance if it happened. I quite like the fact we gave their dreadful supporters some hope before winning anyway. As we know its the hope that kills you! Easy for me to say I guess given I got to wake up and check the final outcome rather than have to endure the tension.
Ryder Cup Thread on 08:37 - Sep 29 with 688 views | Malintabuk | Mrs MinT and I stayed up to watch this... and as above have to recognise the amazing fight back from the Americans... but apart from that I hope in reflection the American public are ashamed of their antics There has to be serious questions asked about this especially over in the States. I'm all for passion in sports, what would football be loke without passion , cricket without fast bowlers intimidating batsmen, Rugby without crunch, but what was carried out there was nothing short of disgraceful A wife assaulted, players abused merciless. Was there physical altercation? I wouldn't be surprised if there was, but if not, how far off that are we? I was never a great golfer, but always enjoyed the sport.

It's going to ruin a great competition, it was absurd. Problem is the European fans saw all that and will want revenge in 2 years' time. I hope not, the best thing would be to show up the classless yanks with utmost respect for their team, whilst still cheering on the Europeans.

They really won't. European fans know where the line is and i don't think will ever cross it.

Ryder Cup Thread on 09:18 - Sep 29 with 553 views | BklynRanger | It seemed like even the officials went home before the trophy was awarded - was it the plan all along for that English lady to present the trophy? No disrespect to her but am guessing Trump's helicopter was on standby and when it didn't happen they got her to do the whole thing. He's probably calling them all losers on the X at this moment :)

It crossed my mind that with the way things are in the US currently, the PGA may have had a quiet word in a few ears and asked not to humiliate the American team in case it turned real ugly there. Trump wanted that trophy too, for his desk, so there may still be a story to be told in the coming weeks. The World Cup could be a real clusterfück too.
