C'mon Europe....atmosphere is likely to brutal. Moral highground grasped with Americans now being paid to play. Essential to finish tomorrow equal at least i reckon.

The USA support makes it borderline unwatchable. 99.9% of their golf fans seem to be absolute bells ends.

I'll let you into a secret - it's their inability to 'hold' alcohol.

3 point lead after day 1. I think Luke and would have taken that before the start.

TBF, I don’t mind Thomas, he’s solid and only bigging up the crowd like we do at home.
Cantlay is a thorn in our side though and we’ve yet to see the best of Sheffler & Spaun.

I actually quite like Keegan, he’s solid probably should be playing if down to form.

But hopefully, same again Tomorrow.

It’s a fair point, but whilst the Ryder cup is on, I imagine Justin Thomas was born out of Donald Trumps jacksy chanting U-S-A! U-SA!

Thomas is not that bad ,Cantlay is a cu*t and Bryson is not far off a total cu*t IMO.
The rest of the US squad are all right but very hard to like compared to the Europeans who have some incredible characters and can really play.
Savage abuse all day espiceally towards Rory which is shocking sportsmanship and it sounds like it got under his skin and he flipped some off .
When he holed that putt late on top of Cantlay you could hear Lowry saying " you are a fcuking legend " .
4- 4 split tomorrow would be incredible but the US team normally come alive Saturday evening we have to get up early .
Some serious golf being played on a brutal course fair play to both sides

No one minds the Yanks cheering for their side or even cheering a bad shot. But dogs abuse when setting up and on down swings is out of order. You can see Marshalls geeing them up and not reeling it in.
Best way to deal with it is to stick points on the board and win it.

Smells like a trout farm in here

Great start by Europe so far.

Shame Rory could not putt in at the 18th, in the last fourballs, but a three shot lead on day one is decent.

Interestingly Donald had the Europe team wearing headphones with raucous crowd from past RCs blasting through.

They’re mostly quite beige. Superb golfers no doubt but generally cookie cutter, slim-ish, clean-cut nerds. In reality they’re probably all quite normal and have their own interesting stories and are just ‘in the zone’ but they come across as a bit lacking in personality compared to the Europeans.

Most annoying thing is when a ball is hit into the crowd and about100 spectators feel the need to rush over and surround the ball even though they are six deep there are so many of them.
Cockwombles.

Great to see the European lads giving it back to the foul mouthed and abusive muppets trying to put them off.

The Americans are too dense - They cannot see that all the dirty tricks is helping the Europeans and I love it

If we only need a few points tomorrow the crowd will be extremely toxic - worse than now

Yeah, Lowry was carried a bit yesterday but well and truly on it today with three big 'Fcuk You' putts already.

And that shot from Rahm this morning was to die for. They know there is no way back from this now and decided to ruin the whole thing for others

Cant watch it. The pace of play is sooooo slow, really gets on my wick.

I can hack round my local munis in about 3hrs. Horrible fairways, shocking greens... got every excuse to piss about wondering about my lie or working out a putting green with tyre tracks across it BUT... I just crack on, slow play is frowned upon - its the golden rule.

So, how these pros with caddies can take hours to get round an immaculate course is very very hard to understand. Buggers should all be put on the clock from the get-go with penalty strokes dished out for piss-taking and dithering.
