Although dismayed at myself for the draw on Saturday I blame the fact I wore the pink shirt.

True to forum rules a loss means adios.

So I've stretched a bit and ran it off.

QPR 2 Oxford 1

Kone and Saito.

Lots of changes, very strong bench. Two big men up top could be tasty.

That should be interesting, hope Mbengue can avoid getting booked today, strikes me as someone who could smash out a 3 game week physically.

A warning to the VPN lot, the uninhabited island of Clipperton and the French Antarctic lands are out of bounds tonight

Whoever writes these is really stepping up their colonisation of Ireland. For years they have insisted that Ireland is not overseas, to which my answer is 'try walking it'. Now it seems there is a territory called 'United Kingdom & Ireland'.

CM looks a tad stinky coupled with having to watch Frey lumber about.

Still no Kolli.

Oxford have named the same XI that played on Saturday, so in theory we should be a lot fresher.

Obviously feel that Oxford are a big physical side if they have picked this one.

Vale left, Dembele right? 4-4-2?

At least there is a lot of pace off the bench, which may help get behind Oxford later on?

Never knowingly right.

Left home in Lowestoft at 8:00 this morning, dropped the Mrs off at her sisters in Brighton, drove to Redbridge, parked up and got the central line to White City, driving back to Lowestoft after then back to. Brighton Friday to pick her up!

A very 'butch' starting line up!

Frey and Kone together up front should be nice and violent

Too many changes? Time will tell but it has that ‘it’s only Oxford’ feel about it like it’s a cup tie or something.
Going to be difficult to gel for a lot of the team .
The attitude has to be right from the off tonight or this could go wrong .

Still, on paper we should still win the game .
At it from the start and we should be ok

Necessary. Minimize risk of injuries of 3 games in 7 days. The bench is there when needed. Makes sense to me.

Let Frey smash the backline around for an hour, then unleash Burrell to dance through the wreckage.

Too many changes for me. Burrell only played 45 mins and Frey was awful when he came on.
No need to bring Field in, Madsen doing fine and we lose a bit of vision in the middle.
Also we have an Int break coming up. I would also have kept Saito in.
I hope it works tonight but I have my doubts.

Smells like a trout farm in here

A mixture of tweaking for the opposition and squad rotation I think. Still a good starting eleven and you would hope that those who have recently started on the bench want to prove a point.

Saito, Smyth and Burrell running at them with 30 mins left will be interesting

Love the fact 2 months ago we would have loved this lineup, and now we have been spoilt we think it's not the strongest. Progress!

Looking forward to the subs and seeing what the front two do. First live game of the season for me.

True, but I'd prefer them running at them from the start.
For me, that looks like a side looking for a draw rather than a win. But as said, a strong bench to change things.

Technology advances, unfortunately humans do not.

Krastev of Oxford is a player going down the Koki Saito route of spending years at Lommel (or the City Group) and spending the whole time on loan. Hope he isn't as good as Koki.

Oxford fan tells me to look out for their midfielder Brian De Keersmaacker, no idea if he has a fetish for hitting the Prime Minister but apparently he will play in the Premier League for someone in the next 2 years. Hopefully won't be their Bannan tonight

I reckon that’s the heaviest team we’ve ever picked.

Like Rammstein covering Slayer.

Very defensive line-up.

As others have said, I suspect we'll hit them hard in the 2nd half with the speed and trickery of Saito, Smyth and Burrell.

2-0 to the Rs.

I just showed my son the Milk Cup highlights on YouTube so he understands why I had a childhood hatered of Oxford United. Each goal more shambolic evertime you dare watch that. What the hell were they doing the day before?

Anyway, have a funny feeling we're gonna struggle tonight but will get a point after chasing the game. No basis for this prediction other than it being QPR.

Just got to my seat... seen the team...

Though personally think that team should be strong enough to get a win... surprised to see so many changes

I'm a great fan of Field ... so pleased he gets a run out... Cook is a gamble, but hopefully Mbengue will cover him within pace

Frey up front... and no Saiko... that is a bold move

2-0 to us... perhaps 2 -1 .... but go 3rd😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫
