McNulty called it our best display of the season a few weeks back. It was definitely after Gateshead and there was some questioning of his statement.
He obviously realised how good they could be because it was another solid victory even though we weren’t great in the first half. |  |

Definitely missing EELs distribution.
I wouldnt say Hogans slowing it down too much, but we are missing that adventure of a decent long pass, for the wingers or forwards to run onto.
Little bit too much of back and forth between our defenders, hopefully the guys are going to have bit more urgency 2nd half. [Post edited 1 Oct 20:44]

Poor first half.
Hogans distribution IS ok but its not difficult when you pass it 5 yards sideways. Gordon very disappointing - seems to be under orders to pass backwards to Hogan. Why on earth he doesn't turn and go forward I'll never know. East seems to be playing deep - our best games are when he plays further forward, Allarakhia might as well not be on the pitch - noone seems to want to pass to him, Barlow is having a good game.

Bit too cautious all round tonight. The changes haven't worked out so far and the defending for their goal was poor.
We need the attacking urgency of recent games but have to give Halifax credit for the way they have defended so far.
