Given he's not getting a game, can we not bring Ramsdale back in Jan? Surely he'd rather play in Championship than sit on the bench for a Newcastle team that currently looks more likely to be fighting to get out of the bottom half than qualifying for Europe. From SR perspective, he wont be gaining any value on the bench...
James Ward-Prowes on 15:42 - Sep 30 with 2026 views | Saintcole7 | I think his contract is up next summer so would be on a free, so I would say worth a shot regardless of which division we are in for 26/27.

Agree, but he knew he'd be sat on the bench when he went there. No doubt his bank account may dictate what he does

James Ward-Prowes on 20:08 - Oct 1 with 1129 views | Bridders2 | Absolutely NO. He was already slowing down when he left us, but he'll be worse now. And we don't need all those backward and sideways passes...we need players to speed things up.

Selling JWP when we did is probably one of the best bits of business we've done in the last few years. Reason = he came thru our Academy so cost us nothing & we sold him for in excess of 20M. He did a decent job for us & was always committed but I'd describe him as efficient & nothing better than that. He didn't excel in any thing other than dead ball situations. His career has been in freefall since he left us & he's not even scored from a free kick in that time.

If his salary is what has been quoted on here is true, hes not worth the expense. Money could be spent more wisely.

We sent Ramsdale on loan to Newcastle because he’s on £120k per week Just get him back if we’re spending that kind of money

No, Looks like WetSpam still owe Saints £15 million on his transfer fee, so are trying to off load him to Saints to cut the amount they owe

Heisenberg, you do realise after "I would" has had a his meltdown, we would be left with JWP, play the ball side ways more than usual and still be paying his massive salary, long after " I would" has calmed down !

This. At his best, he can be streets ahead of anything we have in the squad currently. But he hasn’t been at that level for several seasons, and only his free kicks kept him a nose ahead of the rest. He was never really captain material as he doesn’t have the drive to influence games, and that is what we have been seeing for the past few years.

James Ward-Prowes on 12:41 - Oct 3 with 388 views | I_would | Let me think about it. Right that's long enough. NO He's even slower. No one wants him. He's overpaid by £145k pw. He is incapable of passing forwards. Free kicks don't go in anymore (luck ran out years ago). He's a skate.

“a skate”? Really? I’m surprised at you Ben, JWP served this club well and deserves a better epitaph than that surely?

Yep, sorry my reply was tongue in cheek !
James Ward-Prowes on 08:42 - Oct 4 with 37 views | jopreston | Hmm. A no from me as he is far to slow, sideways and not particularly creative and I think we have enough of those sorts right now. That said, he might be OK if WS would play him further forward as we had a glimpse once before of him being better when played further forward, and dropping down a league he may well be useful. So a no from me with a slight yes, maybe, perhaps.
