Lyndon’s goal on 00:39 - Oct 10 with 3705 views | QPR_Hibs | Lyndon gave us (Scotland) much better service than Che Adams tonight and was the 4th highest rated player on the BBC despite only coming on in the 84th minute. His goal came from not giving up and chasing the keeper down.

Lyndon’s goal on 07:42 - Oct 10 with 3357 views | stevec | Couldn’t get a start in a league one side but centre forward for his country. Yet another reason, as if it were needed, why international football is barely watchable.
Lyndon’s goal on 09:00 - Oct 10 with 3160 views | nix | Pleased for Lyndon. Not the most talented but always does his best and never complains. Had a rough old time not playing at Birmingham but things seem a bit better atm. Was one of the only tryers in our team at one point.

Dykes has scored some fantastic goals for Scotland and has helped reverse the team's shocking form in qualifying. Happy for him.

Lyndon’s goal on 09:22 - Oct 10 with 3047 views | Watford_Ranger | It was a tap-in following the worst goalkeeping howler you'll see this week. If Scotland Lyndon played for his club then he'd be a good Championship player but we almost always got Club Lyndon. He's just more up for it for them.

Brum colleague of mine has said he's playing out of his skin for them at the moment. Odd player.

I'm talking 2020-2023. In one period in 2021 he scored in 4 consecutive games. At the end of the day, the way Scotland are set up suits him better. I'm not saying he's incredibly talented but he's effective when people are running off him. Which rarely happened at QPR,

Lyndon’s goal on 11:40 - Oct 10 with 2599 views | bosh67 | I've only just seen it and he was always good when he didn't really have time to think. Unlike this infamous one. The ultimate 'it was harder to miss' chance, but he succeeded. https://www.skysports.com/football/video/30998/12685681/lyndon-dykes-misses-sitt Good luck to him though. How many other players would come back early from double pneumonia to put a shift in and sign a new contract allowing the club to sell him on? The fact that the club made a loss is on the club, not Lyndon. Good lad. Always worked very hard.

Lyndon’s goal on 14:00 - Oct 10 with 2288 views | CiderwithRsie | Good luck to him. A likeable player, just not an effective one for us, so it's win-win to see him (a) not in a hooped shirt and (b) doing OK for himself. The one thing I'll always say for him as a QPR player was that he came to us after that basket case scenario where we started the season without a single striker under contract, and was therefore a step in the right direction IMO. Very pleased to see us now with two Championship quality strikers on the books.

Tap in? Sure, but he even nearly put it over the crossbar.
Lyndon’s goal on 19:52 - Oct 10 with 1832 views | numptydumpty | He was never much of a target for the boo boys here, because he always put a shift in, but was very limited. Probably the same reaction, i would get from the fans. i would put in 110% committment, but my skill set in what i was meant to do, would have been shocking. Another centre forward that has shown extremely limited abilities in scoring goals.

Lyndon’s goal on 22:17 - Oct 10 with 1677 views | Myke | The unusual thing for me about Lydon, is that now and again he would score technically astute goals, which you didn't think were in his locker. His final goal for us v SU is a case in point, but also his goal in our 4-2 win over Stoke and his long-range looping header v SW. I believe he has one 'worldie' for Brum this season too. As has being pointed out already, he was better when he was instinctive (as all three examples indicate), if he had time to think he usually messed up. I liked him at us though, honest if limited pro. I would take him over a lot of our so-called more talented players we have had down the years, that wouldn't put a shift in.
Lyndon’s goal on 09:16 - Oct 11 with 1416 views | gazza1 | 1 - He mis controlled a difficult ball to him. 2 - He ran towards to keeper who decided to pass the ball to him. 3. He scored from 5 yards into an empty net. Wow, fantastic!!! He, along with Kelman & Armstrong are 'proper' limited professional footballers, many on this MB wanted them to stay and try at QPR. None of them get a regular game for their limited club teams. Well done to whoever it was decided to sell them.

Very true. Midfielder J McGinn has a superior goals to games ratio than him: 20 goals in 80 games. That was Dykes's first goal for Scotland in about 15 matches, well over 2 years, which closely mirrors his excruciatingly barren spells with us. [Post edited 11 Oct 9:56]

Lyndon’s goal on 13:35 - Oct 11 with 1142 views | DylanP | Overall, Dykes was a terrible player for us. Period. He was always hiding, running around looking busy but never in the box when the ball came in. Lineker once said that he’d make a great run into the box ten time just so that one time he was in the right place at the right time. Dykes never made those runs, so he was never there. With so much young talent hungry for it, ditching Dykes was the best move we could do.

Lyndon’s goal on 13:58 - Oct 11 with 1100 views | mart_Goblin | God I hope Park Royal ain’t reading this thread . He’ll be livid . Wasn’t Lyndon’s biggest fan but some of the stuff on here does seem overly harsh. I don’t think he ever hid , ever. Just not natural for him to make or find space for himself . Said at the time that it was the right time for both parties. But I’m still quite fond of old Lyndon. Put in some serious shifts at times and comparing that alone to say, someone like Celar , I know who I’d prefer overall. Until , he scores against us of course, then he’s a total f*****g **** 🤣

Kelman has featured in all Charlton's games this season and started in all but 3.

Gazza, Facts & the truth still matter in some places and hopefully on this forum, so to put your comments in context: Limited club teams - QPR 15 pts, Bristol City 13pts, Charlton 12pts, Birmingham 12pts None of them get a regular game - Kelman 9 appearances / 0 goals; Armstrong 8 appearance / 0 goals; Dykes 8 appearances 2 goals Dykes was originally behind Stansfield & Kyogo in the pecking order @ Birmingham, both of whom have cost £ 10m, so fair play to Dykes as a £1m player he now seems to be ahead of £ 10m Kyogo, if not Stansfield. I agreed with selling Kelman for £3m as believe he's had his Conor Washington League 1 hot-streak, I could be wrong. Armstrong was great business for us for £ 2m and I agree with you was a very very limited footballer, I often stood in disbelief as R-Block etc called for Armstrong to come off the bench and applauded him onto the pitch, playing as a lone striker, wtf. I disagreed with selling Dykes for £1m as thought without a target man we would get relegated, fortunately Kieran Morgan & Jimmy Dunne stepped up and we escaped what would have been a ruinous relegation to League 1.

Absolutely. If there’s one thing you can’t accuse him of it’s hiding. He’s made a career for himself through sheer will because he wasn’t getting close on ability. A hard player to dislike IMO even if he was mostly, again only IMO, poor.

Dykes has started two Championship matches for B'ham this season......Stansfield has started 8 so I do not know why you think that Dykes is anywhere near the starting line up ahead of Stansfield. That says to me that Dykes is behind Stansfield in the1st team selecion stakes. . I could not care less what those players cost B'ham to buy.....just blurring the matter. Bottom line is that Dykes is a very average player indeed and not good enough to play regular football for a Championship side, good, average or bad.....and the goal for scotland was an early christmas present which i would have expected you to score and i have never seen you play!!!!
