| Ramshackled R’s end three-game week on a bum note at Derby – Report on 06:51 - Oct 27 with 2307 views | Dorse | LFW: come for the football; stay for the Classical mythology. Nice work Jamie. A modern equivalent to Sisyphus' punishment might be folding jumpers in the Swindon branch of Primark. The game itself was a bit of a non-event, had a sort of 'contractually-obliged' feel to it. I think the low point for me was seeing Frey enter proceedings and thinking 'and THIS is how we are going to get back into the game...?' I'm also thinking of calling Nardi 'Penis Fingers' from now on because he seems to fck whatever he touches. | |

| Ramshackled R’s end three-game week on a bum note at Derby – Report on 09:05 - Oct 27 with 1896 views | francisbowles | I was there, albeit I had a poor view, low down in the corner so didn't want to form too much of an opinion on the performance. However, it is no surprise to see the marks in type, it was a really poor game and we barely laid a finger on them. We allowed ourselves to be bullied out of it early on. The one man who stood out was Matt Clarke who was head and shoulders, in more ways than one, than anyone else on the pitch. How they gave the MOM to the other Clarke is beyond me. I can only imagine the sponsors or the announcer got the names mixed up. We played to his strengths by putting every ball onto his head and he didn't disappoint. I was getting really pi**ed off seeing his head pop up again and again. | | | |

It's close to heresy I know but I'm not convinced on Kone at all currently. Maybe he's bitching at being asked to play slightly deeper but if that's your role then thats your role -- get on with it and move about like you give a toss. If you're being asked to make the ball stick then work on your touch and body position and get back to bullying opposition players around you. Walking around the training pitch having a lovely chat with Charlie Austin doesn't mean you've made it - you need to be putting it in week after week after week; one, two or three game weeks included. It does feel mental saying that when we have him as one we own and he's already bagged 4 goals when I consider the absolute drek I've had the dsipleasure to watch up front for us over the decades. However these are the demands of the level we are at and one in three or four games has to be a minimum target for him. Burrell on the other hand impresses me more and more every time I see him. I love a player for who a cause is never lost, always, always attempt to impose your game on the opposition and make them worry about you and not the other way round. He does that all the time. I think I read we nabbed him for £750k or £900k?? If he get's his shooting eye in, continues to progress and embarass Championship defenders then I can see percieved top 6 clubs and lower Prem clubs having a keen interest in him.

| Ramshackled R’s end three-game week on a bum note at Derby – Report on 10:31 - Oct 27 with 1589 views | TheChef | Cheers for the report Jamie - endured it like the rest of us. Sat in the freezing cold with the mini Chefs, with some of our lovely fans next to us calling all and sundry a c£nt. Only highlights were the decent pies in the ground, catching up with a couple of mates I hadn't seen for a while, and the quick getaway from the conference centre car park afterwards. The match itself was probably the most average pile of Championship slop that I've seen. Stewarding also seemed a bit over the top and they were quite happy to chuck out a few of our yoof who were in the top right hand corner. Wasn't sure if it was for general bad behaviour or supposedly smoking something naughty (while our middle aged scoundrels kept puffing away on their stinky vapes). And I totally agree about the ref (and reffing in this country in general) - the Morris incident just went to show how little authority they have, players quite happy to take the p1ss. Sorry for the age-old comparison but look at the respect rugby refs usually get. They've got to sort it out, but I'm not holding my breath. Anyway lesson learned, don't go to game 3 of a three game week, definitely don't go if we're playing away! | |

They wanted it more it almost felt like we were resigned to losing

I was always hopeful while it was 1-0 we could find a goal to get back into the game, especially when Chair came on. But then Derby weren't down to ten men like Swansea, and with their back three/five they were happy to just get everyone behind the ball and we didn't have the nous to get through them (or, y'know, attempt a shot on goal).

We did Derby away last season and it was pitiful. Sounds like Saturday gave it a run for its money. I didn't even bother with the stream so went and watched my local non league team instead.
| Ramshackled R’s end three-game week on a bum note at Derby – Report on 22:07 - Oct 27 with 196 views | Burnleyhoop | We are consistently inconsistent. Until we find the solution to the malaise that always crops up during a 3 game week, we will never be more than midtable mediocrity merchants. And what’s wrong with our Irish Cafu? Absolutely all over the place this season. | | | |

I don't think Kone has a great all around game right now (which is probably to be expected given his background) so when he doesn't score it doesn't really feel like he's contributing much. Luckily a) he IS scoring at a good lick and b) whatever you think of our coaching staff I'd have money on them doing a better job bringing that side of his game out than a non league club. I'm with you on Burrell, quick becoming a favorite of mine and even when he's not scoring if he keeps up the effort off the ball he'll be a cult hero here in no time.
| Ramshackled R’s end three-game week on a bum note at Derby – Report on 23:16 - Oct 27 with 92 views | ManinBlack | I think it is a mental problem for us to play three games in a week. Coventry beat Brum 3-0 at home, won 4-0 at Millwall midweek and then went up to Sheffield to destroy Wednesday 5-0 before the international break. They appeared to get stronger and two away games in three days with the travelling was a doddle. No doubt having a Champions League and Premier League winner as manager helps them as Lampard often played three games in a week with PL Saturday, CL Wednesday and PL Sunday. When asked how he coped with it his answer was you don't feel tired when you are winning and you want to play in every game. He has a winning mentality but it seems we still have mentally weak players as we have done for many years. | | | |
